YAY OR NAY on 'new characters' of JvC-DTC
 

Ok, I thought it over. Let's see what the posse here really thinks of the new characters. I am going to put in a lot of different aspects on the YAY or NAY side so while there may be positives, there will most likely be negatives too. It's a mix of subjective and objective aspect.

We start with Major Barrage.

New character.
New construction with the injection molded shoulders & elbows, ballneck joint for head.
New sculpt.
Great sculpting.
Proper fitting vest.
2 shotguns.
O-ring. Considered BUFF in all standards (JvC Roadblock was close but Barrage stepped it up).
Boring to look at as MOC, awesome figure when opened (Hasbro has that problem w/ their production shots looking oft pathetic.)
Eyesballs are painting looking up.
Swivel Wrists.
Fairly boring design.
Functional as a figure.
Not much in the way of accessories (albeit, 25A has really upped that aspect)

I've used Barrage alot. I really like him. He's beefy as all hell, he's got good scale to the other characters, his accessories FIT, the double pump shotgun thing is an issue, but, I like him. Better one of the new Bastard Eras. I applaud him.

Any decent new character is always welcome, and Barrage is a great figure and character. Sure beats Duke version 68! :)

The guys stands for his size. This is how Roadblock and maybe Gung Ho should look from begining. Not forgoting his nice cool rank.

he is a great figure , ;) i want to see him in the comics , his weapons are cool

Probably my favorite new character from that time frame, not really sure why, perhapes his specialty hadn't been overused or maybe he was some convoluted plot point but I just found him cool.

ive seen him a lot on here and he always looks great. This dude is the "missing link" He looks ARAH, he looks 25A. He fits with both.

Yay he is cool.
