custom bunkers
 

hello I am new to joedios but am loving this site, really a tremendous amount of talent. i am building a custom cobra base this is including a terrordrome (custom built) fencing thanks ender098 for his great article. but I am also wanting to do several concrete looking bunkers/pillboxes (reminiscent from world war 2) I want to do this for varying sizes but have hit a snag on making realistic ones that will fit the scale I have asked around and most gave me sites where buy them but they are horribly to small. can someone on here shed some light on this subject for me please? thanks again any help will be greatly appreciated.

What Someone did was go to Micheals ( a craft store) and bought a small wooden planter. Cut some peices and framed the edges, painted it a wahlah! Instant pill box.

Here is some quick pics I did of the one I made in a simailar way...

I primered it and then used textured spray paint. I didn't finish the back yet but the door is removeable. I just shot these in my favorite little sandbox so please forgive the poor attention to the background not being as good as it should be.

Anybody recongnize this and the link to the how to... please share again. I think it even had the measurements and step by step shots.

Thats a pretty easy way for a good pillbox. That can even donr to look like concrete as well!! I think we will prob be seeing more of those in future dios!!

Sgt_DP is that a Wooden Planter Box you bought,and then fixed up to look like a Pill Box?Or did you make the whole thing from scratch?I'm wanting to make a couple of those as well,and if I can find them already made all i'd have to do is a few small mods to get it looking right...
