Paint question
For those of you that do custom paint jobs, I'm wondering what kind of paint to use? I'd like something durable. Specifically, I'm looking to paint wood parts and add some wear on the metal of some Marauder Inc. weapons.

Humbrol and Revell semi-matt enamels. Tougher than acrylics, but mineral turpentine or white spirits clean up. I have constantly used figures I painted more than twenty years ago and the paint hasn't chipped yet.

I mostly use enamel and acrylics, from Model Master and Revell (the best). But you've to nave in mind customs that you play with will have some chipped marks.

I use Tamiya color its expensive, but looks great and lasts forever

Look at my Marauderincs and Hasbro weapons: all painted with Tamiya colors.
But the plastic of Hasbro's weapons isn't good to be painted. |
Tamiya
Are Tamiya Paints available in the United Kingdom? I've only ever used the Matt Humbrol paints, i've had varied results..

Thanks everyone!

Paint question
Use Tamiya paints. They're the best. To cut down on gloss shine grab some dullcoat in a spray can for the weathered look.
|
What about for Figures? What is the best paint? Mine keeps rubbing off at the joints and any points of friction!

best paints
I used Tamiya to paint my 25th Gung Ho olive drab green. Use the thick paint at the bottom of container. It will stick. Don't mix the container it'll thin out the consistincey. Apply dullcoat. My figure rocks!! Use slim brushes for accuracy.
