Sad day

His comedy was funny and it made ya think too, which is a rare thing now a days. RIP

I know. He was bar none, my favorite comedien! God, I'm gonna miss his anti-establishment raves!!

Seems like all the best are gone. First it was Freddie Prinze (Lenny Bruce was a little before my time!), Then John Belushi, John Candy, Chris Farley, Sam Kinison, Richard Pryor and now George Carlin.

June 22nd 2008 will forever be known to me as the day the Laughter died!

I was first introduced to him by the Bill & Ted movies, but when I got to see his stand-up I truly became a fan. Definitely blazed some trails in stand-up and I hope his legacy will live on in others not being afraid to deconstruct & question authority, and make us laugh while making us think.

:( Carlin was my introduction to the adult humor. He is my wife's absolutely favorite comedian and I loved most of his non-political stuff. We will miss him a great deal. :(

:( He was great as the Archbishop in Dogma, and the hitch hiker in Jay and Silent Bob. A funny funny man, who will be greatly missed.

I'm the same as Stormer. I found Carlin from Bill & Ted's. I remember my teachers telling me that Carlin was NOTHING like that. "Watch his comedy acts, you'll see..." Course, I never really did. It's funny tho, he narrated several episodes of Thomas the Train (w/ Alex Baldwin!)

But speaking of trying to find comedians now... There's always Dave Chappelle. And my personal fave these days, Ralphie May. "Give me back my rainbow!" Find Ralphie May on youtube and you might be cool with him too. ;)

Come on guys, you all know George from Mr Roger's neighborhood! George was awesome, sad to see him go. His comedy had declined from what it used to be. His last 2 HBO specials were real bad.
