GI Joe Con 2008 will be held in Dallas Tx, June 26-29.

Figures, 10 years ago that would've been close to me.

I was all, "Please be in England, please be in England!" before I opened the thread... Or, failing that, New York or Des Moines because then at least I could stay with friends I've not seen in a while and kill 2 birds with one stone. Ah, well, maybe NEXT year...

Stormer, I could 'almost guarantee' that the '09 Con will be in Rhode Island........so let's hope that works for you!!

Well, it's closer to NY than frikkin' TEXAS... Still have to fork out for a hotel over the Con weekend, though, rather than sleeping on someone's couch and filling their apartment up with Joes. :P

Y'know, if I managed to get a job, I might be able to actually AFFORD a hotel. And Joes. And Con entry. And 'plane tickets...

Heh heh, go for it Marcos! :D Now, I know there will never be an Aussie convention, but if it was in Hawaii I would seriously consider attending. At least then it's "only" a 17 hour flight, rather than a 22 hour ordeal to the west coast, plus another flight on to Texas. Maybe one day! :rolleyes:

That's the same weekend of Wizard World Chicago, where I was scouting for the release of my comic next year... Now I need to think of where I'd rather go. Tough choices.
