Issue #51 was fun,but Special Missions #2 was out-of-the-park!
Israeli agents,Nazi Doomsday weapons,Clutch,Recondo,and Breaker....awesome! |
In the Yearbook, was that the issue where the Joes taser a fat lady with a .50 caliber? Cuz I remember that scene but have no idea where it's from.
As for #51, man, I sure do NOT remember this issue at all. I can remember most of 'em pretty well, but I think I read over a few of the series so many times, that I skipped issues like his one. Anyone want to tell me more about this issue? |
I can remember as a kid seeing this issue at the grocery store and asking for it b/c it had the dreadnoks on the cover, when I actually read the entire marvel run years later it was one of my favorites.

Issue 51 was okay, but the main story seemed to wander along a little aimlessly at times until the beginnings of the Cobra Civil War. Special Missions #2 though, was another great stand-alone story. What an awesome follow up to the brilliant first issue!

Agree with all of the above! I also love the subterfuge to allow the nazi think one thing, and then let matters "take their course" so to speak. The report of a pistol certainly brings closure to hideous miscreants... |
