Paints for customization
I am new to customizing. Can anyone give me some helpful advice as to what kind of paint works best on plastic? For example I want to pant some of the parts on my S.N.A.K.E. armor (aka robot defenders).

try vallejo model series paints, the are great but the new citadel foundation paints work great as well
http://store.us.games-workshop.com/...&GameNav=300810 and the great thing is they are both water based good luck and have fun |
I'm using Revell enamel and acrylics, both are good, but you have to take care. A friend told me about a paint sealant that helps from Revell too.

I use Model Master Acryl and sometimes Poyscale. Both are Acrylic and found at your local hobby store.

testors has worked fine for me it goes on well and is water based plus you can find it at any Wal Mart :D

For figures I use Revell and Humbrol semi-matt enamels. The semi-matt finish matches the factory paint finish perfectly, and enamels are much more durable than acrylics, although they do require mineral turpentine clean up. For vehicles I use matt finish spray enamels, especially automobile undercoat for blacks and greys. ;)

I use Apple Barrel acrylics and citadel for silver.

Being a Warhammer40k guy, I use the water-based Citadel paints. They have wonderful color selection BUT they also chip. THey are better for figures you just want to show off than play with. Honestly, I'd follow Outrider's lead with the oil-based Revell. Or Testors. Whichever.

I'm also in need.
I usually go to Walmart to get Testors but for some reason it's benn peeling off. So where can i go to get cheap inexpensive but great paint? Or if anybody has some extra jars. |
