Andrew Wildman interviewed by me!
A couple of weekends ago I went to the UK's annual International Comic Expo and was able to talk to Andrew Wildman, penciler on Marvel's Joe series in the early 90s and the DDP Joe/TF Black Horizon series last year.
I've never interviewed anyone before and it took longer than I'd thought to transcribe the recording then edit it from regular speech to readable article-style, but I'm very hapy with the results! You can read it on the blog at: www.gijoeuk.com -- that's right, we have content! |
Great work, Stormer. I've always loved Wildman's artwork ever since the first issue of Transformers US that he drew (66 or so, I think). I couldn't get over how intricate the art was, and how the battle damage would carry over from issue to issue (Powermaster Optimus Prime never did get that missing shoulder gun back!). He was a great artist on G.I. Joe, too.

Very nicely done! I enjoyed reading that during lunch today! It was interesting, and you did a great job.
