Lately, a lot of Gears of War and Killzone.

3. Super Mario Brothers 3 (NES)
4. Legend of Zelda 2 (NES)
5. Call of Duty 2: Big Red One (PS2)

Phantasy Star 4 (Genesis)
Final Fantasy X
Need For Speed : Underground 2

Mortal Kombat 3 : Ultimate (for the Genesis)

In no particular order:

Most of them are in series, so it's hard to pick my favorites from these, but most of their sequels are outstanding too.

I don't play a lot of video games, and none of today's really jump out at me. I'm not sure what my top five all-time would be, except that Zelda: A Link to the Past would be at the top of that list. No Zelda game before or since has held me in as much interest as that one did. The story was much more enthralling (to me at least) than any of the later, more complex ones. Probably because it was the first time the games really delved into the history of Hyrule.

I always loved games like 1942 and Rayden in the arcade. Those were the bomb for me. Right there w/ Ms Pacman. I also enjoyed Streetfighter vs X-Men in the arcade. Never had the Japanese-only version for the Saturn.

Raiden was awesome. :) 1942 too. Does anyone remember the g.i.joe arcade game?!

Battlefield Vietnam.

I like the 1st person shooter best.

Battlefield Vietnam? Lots of jungle action? Lots of city action? I don't see that as being an easy game.

X-Wing Vs. TIE Fighter
Tetris
Jedi Knight: Dark Forces II (although I actually prefer it before using Force powers becomes essential)
Then it gets tricky; going by time spent playing, it might have to be Half Life -- I once played that game for about 48 hours straight!

I'm not a big gamer, and the most recent platform I had is a PS1 I bought cheap a few months ago, but when I get into a game I play it intensively at the expense of pretty much everything else until I've ODed!

I have battlefield veitnam. Its not hard and its not easy.
But man! Those computer players are some of the dumbest bots I have ever seen!

These are my current top 5, though after seeing Gears of War on the 360, should I ever get a 360, one of the above may be surplanted.
