This is hard because there are so many movies I like. Probably the movies I watch the most though are:
The Star Wars series The Star Trek series Transformers: The Movie (though I liked the TV series a lot more) The Lord of the Rings series Batman: Mask of the Phantasm (again, I liked some episodes of the show more than the movie) Yes, I'm a huge, huge nerd. |
Wow!
Lots of great movies out there. I'm surprised to see some of the titles. I've enjoyed every movie mentioned. My list is (no order noted): Hellboy Doom The Day the Earth Stood Still Saving Private Ryan Ghost in the Shell |

Own and watch most of those on a constant basis. I'm also a HUGE geek! |
In semi-order (and I count sagas/series of movies as one...):
Star Wars Transformers: The Movie Matrix X-Men (but NOT Last Stand) Kevin Smith's View Askewniverse (Clerks, Mallrats, Chasing Amy, etc...) Man, that was difficult, I could easily give another 5, or 15... What, nobody has GI Joe the Movie in their top 5...? ;) |
Someone else actually likes DOOM???
|
|
Interesting how about 90%+
are Sci-Fi movies... |

AMEN!! What a horrible follow-up to a great second installment! And it's nice to see someone else with Transformers: The Movie on their list. |

I liked this movie too also liked the spoof of it, Not Another Teen Movie :D |

Comicbook movies seemed to peak with X2 - anything that's come since, I could provide a short essay explaining what I find flawed, from a comic-geek perspective and just as a movie in itself :) And TF:TM has been just under Star Wars in my favourite movies since 1986 - I have a worn out videocassette and soundtrack tape, and currently have the original US DVD, the UK "Reconstructed" DVD, and fully intend to get the new 20th anniversary edition too! I like how it pulls no punches in the name of promoting the new toys, killing off the old ones - no last-minute dub here, when the Autobots are standing around Optimus, with Arcee saying he's gone into a coma... |
Well, it's kind of hard to narrow it down to just five, but I'll try.
1) Aliens 2) The Terminator 3) The Lord of the Rings 4) Spider-Man 2 (best superhero movie ever, imo) 5) John Capenter's The Thing Those 1st 2 were my favorite movies when I was in high school, and I've watched them countless times on DVD. Also a big reason why I'm a big James Cameron fan. |
OOOOOOOooh. The THing. Definitely a cool flick and the video game was, rumor has it, totally awesome too. I remember watching it on tv many times when I was 10 or 12 but later on as an adult, I learned just how cool it was/is. Good call.
|
Also, it wasn't on my list, but the Lord of the Rings Trilogy is freaking great. I loved 'em in the theaters and saw them multiple times each. I have the extended versions of them and watching them all back to back is quite an experience. Same with the 6 Star Wars movies.
Back to the Future Indiana Jones Die Hard Lethal Weapon Alien(s)/Predator All are just great series of movies to enjoy back to back to back. :) |
1.Aliens
2.black hawk down 3.Tears of the sun 4.Predator 5.the exorcist |
Top Gun (is it a crime to like F-14 tomcats?)
Yukikaze Akira Princess Mononoke Howl's Moving Castle Final Fantasy VII Advent Children Iknow, i said six, but there are too many to choose from :) |
