Flat rate shipping is NOT the way to go!

Saturday I tried to get a bunch of stuff out, 4 of the boxes were flat rate priority boxes. Had I shipped them, it would have cost me $134! No matter how much is in the box, it's $14.85 in the US and $53.70 international....the same stuff NOT in Priorty boxes will cost me about $30 to send next week.

FYI, the packages I didn't get to mail this week were to ;
Lord Raven
Otto the Otter
Tycondrius
Flatline

These shipments will be out NLT Saturday! just need to rebox them and ship!

So that means the cute little mailman girl lied to me. Why would the cute little mailman girl lie to me? She said flat rate was the way to go. I haven't shipped out anything big enough yet that would require a box of that size, but thanks for the heads up about the cost and the status of my package. I'm getting yours out tomorrow.

Unless you are shipping lead bars, flat-rate is a rip off!

Depends on weight and size of the item. Sometimes its great sometimes it ain't but the worst part is you have to guess.

Also Priority shipping doesn't mean it gets there any faster, regular rates tend to get to thier destination just as fast.

I am waiting for Trek Transporter rates myslef.

Been caught there, myself. My advice: go to Dollar Tree (or anywhere) and get some brown "packing" paper to wrap the Flat-Rate boxes in. Write the address on and send them regularly. Unless you really want to hold on to those boxes.

Not a good idea. Any Postal employee is authorized to unwrap any Priority sized boxes. If there is not Priority postage on it they will charge the receiver or send it back to sender with postage due. Been there, done that! :D

I used to flip the boxes inside out and now they stamp the inside of the boxes! cheesy! also depends who you get some people are mail nazis! dont even lend tape when all the other postal people do! I just go to a book store and ask for boxes when i have to ship alot of stuff I as well save the boxes sent to me which are alot and recylce them by sending em out to! im all about el cheapo!

Dude, you can't ship bio-hazards through the USPS. That'd be specialized freight in a truck with placards and permits.
