It's a glitch in the system. This place never did get quite right again after falling twice.

The BATman 02-04-2010 12:34 AM

Well yeah, but is anyone trying to fix that ? I understand this great site is run and hosted as some kind of friendly, voluntary service without any professional support behind it, but still.

neapolitan joe 02-04-2010 02:00 AM

The problem.

I agree, can anyone fix this problem?
Thanks.

I'm having similar issues , even when resizing.

By the date, they were posted after our outage, and the site was broken at that time. If you repost them, it should work fine.

Tracker, you do not have permission to access this page. This could be due to one of several reasons:

1. Your user account may not have sufficient privileges to access this page. Are you trying to edit someone else's post, access administrative features or some other privileged system?
2. If you are trying to post, the administrator may have disabled your account, or it may be awaiting activation.

I get the same message. I've started re-uploading the entire photo as a new gallery entry and have been deleting the old.

Sonneilon 02-07-2010 01:57 PM

I get that message all the time!

Yeah, I've been getting that message since I signed up here on Day One. Does this mean that not everyone has always gotten it??

I doubt that. I've also always had that message when I tried to edit.

dancontrino 02-08-2010 01:42 PM

Do you have photoshop? With that program you can do all the resizing you want without croping the picture. hope I helped a little.

Thanks, Commander. i try keeping this hobby "on the cheap", but i think photoshop is inevitable. i just never had this problem before.

Stormer 02-09-2010 12:44 PM

I tend to use MS Office Picture Manager to resize pics. I don't have any special effects software (hence no gunfire or flying in any of my pics).

Better install the Gimp then (http://www.gimp.org/), it is the freeware open source equivalent of Photoshop.

To use it for resizing an image: open the image in Gimp (on Windows, use the executable gimp-win-remote.exe), then go to menu "Image" and "Scale Image...", and go from there. Slightly outdated tutorial can be found here : http://docs.gimp.org/en/gimp-tutori...ckie-scale.html .

Tracker 02-10-2010 01:29 AM

I use Irfanview

Death_at_Midnight 02-10-2010 09:53 AM

I use XnView.

At home I do use Picassa (from Google).

At work if it's late, I can access Photoshop.
