Weekend Warriors : IDEAS PLEEZE!
 

As you guys have already figured out, I relaunched this fan project to try and simplify it as well as bring some different energy in. Now, while I took the reins for the first 3 weeks, it's time for the community to put in their input. I'll randomly draw out an idea and that'll be it.

PLEASE keep in mind that it should be very basic in idea to allow for the most creativity. IF we get too specific, not everyone can participate easily. Ice Cream Soldier theme? Not a good idea. BUT if someone likes the idea of flame-weapons experts, that's more doable, yah?

So please, fire away. I'll make a decision Sunday nite so people can get ideas together for the week.

Reserves - not quite the "A" team but not greenshirts either, the soldiers who wait in the wings until needed

Support Staff - every team needs them, mechanics, comm techs, file clerks, armorers, etc.

Side note: what happened to the last ideas thread? I know there were some good ones in there that might be worth diggin up. Just a thought.

There are several good ideas already posted. I'm thinking;

Wetworks - show characters doing their job. SHOULD NOT BE GRAPHIC.
Waiting - characters doing what soldier do, wait. On guard but not active.
Caring for the wounded - characters from any side taking care of their or enemy wounded.
CQB - Show the less martial arts oriented fighting in close quarters.
Unique weapons - showcase the characters with the more unique and unconventional weapons.

Just for the record, if you see me editing or deleting your post, it's because those ideas were used. Just cleaning the thread up a bit so we know where we are going.

Please keep ideas flowing. I'm gonna change this up a bit. So every other weekend, the theme will pertain to a character (or something very close to that).

How about a theme where we do an homage for a diostory or a scene from one?

LIKE WHAT SCAR?

What I mean is to do a shot that pays tribute to a particular diostory as a whole, or a shot that imitates a specific scene from one. You could do something from Operation Rapier, for example, like the hanger battle, or Destro's "assassination". It could be from any gijoe diostory, not just violentfix's. A link to the actual story or scene represented could also be added too. There is a lot to choose from.

"Movie lines" - create a scene to go with a famous movie line.
"Hearts and Minds" - let's see the Joes (and Cobras?) winning the support of local populations.

How about "coming home".

It's the holiday season.. either Christmas or New Years, and a Joe or Cobra might have some leave time. Be interesting to see one or two or a bunch on their way home, at home.. maybe an adventure along the way.

"Real Heroes" - pay tribute to real life heroes who may have been forgotten by creating a scene using Joes/Cobras but based on a real life act of bravery (military or otherwise) with an explanation of or link to the true story behind it.

What about "Unpopular Figures"

Give some unpopular and unknown forgotten figures and give them the spotlight.

I did so with Space Shot, why not other figures like him.

"Song Titles" - take a song title and create a pic based on it.
