To all my friends here on JoeDios, sorry I have not responded to any of your pictures lately. I had to go to the hospital a couple of weeks back. I am on some serious pain meds, so I hope this comes out OK, my head has been in a fog. I have had several teeth come loose over the last few months. I got a infection in the bones of my jaw somehow and it moved into my sinus cavity. I was in such pain I could not get out of bed for 2 days. I was taking BC powders, I took a 50 pack of them in 48 hours and got asprin poisoning on top of all this. I lost my hearing in both ears, my wife took me to the emergency room. Come to find out the bones in my upper & lower jaws have decinigrated and the only thing holding in my teeth are my gums. I am going to have to have 2 surgeries and will loose all of my teeth. I am only 40 and will have to wear dentures. I am self employed and have no insurance on top of all this, and have to pay before any work will be done. Needless to say this is putting a hurting on my family. I have been looking at all of the fine picures posted over the last couple of weeks and will respond to them when I am able to concentrate better. I am also looking forward to getting back & taking some of my own pics & posting them. I just have not been up to it here lately. I just wanted to say thanks to all of my friends here & I have not forgotten you. Dave

wow bud, thats a hard thing to respond to, there is no way any words I say will make a difference, but non the less; My prayers are with you and I wish the best for you and your family. That is a crazy chain of events, and I hope you find a crazy way to over come it all. Get better Dave, best of luck, if there is something I can help you with, I'll do what I can.

Dave, like Cory said it's difficult to know what to say other than I'm really sorry to hear how sick you have been, and you have my best wishes and prayers for a full and speedy recovery. And of course I'm looking forward to seeing more of your awesome work when you feel up to it. Get well real soon buddy! :)

I hope you feel better soon., if anyone knows about infected teeth & gums it's me! Just ask the guys around Yojoe, or even gijock or stormer.. I'm in a similar situation (albeit not as painful) I don't have anything to back me up so any work i have done will need to be paid for by myself.

I began selling off all my GIJOE stuff a while back so that i could afford to have important work done on my teeth & gums.
I had two infected teeth removed in March, I too didn't do much for so long as I struggled to get over the pain.

I do hope you come through this and we hope to see you posting up on here again and becoming an active member again soon!

Man, that ultra blows. I'm sorry. I hope you can get things all fixed up and don't have a problem like this in the future. We're here for ye. Try and keep your spirits up!

Thanks to all you guys. I have been feeling a little better today, I don't know if I am really feeling better or if the meds are working. Got off my butt & posted a picture tonight, nothing relaxes me more than my toys. My first surgery is schedualed for May 13th, not looking forward to it, but I can't wait to get this all over with. I've had severe migraines, sore throat, sore palate, sneezing, blowing my nose every second, and a super runny nose for more than a week. these sporadic migraines make me want to rip out my face but Dave, your fortitude is giving me strength to overcome this cold. thanks.

This sounds awful, I'm sorry to hear this happened to you.

My surgery is tomorrow. The Doc is working with me with the finances, this will cost me $10k and I have no insurance. I need to have the initial $2500 to him by next Monday. I have exhaused all other options and have to have an emergency sale of my Joes & Star Wars figures. I am going to be listing alot of stuff on 3 day auctions starting today. I'm pretty new to posting here,but i've been coming here for a couple of Year's.And i'm a big Fan of your Pic's,your one of the one's i alway's look forward to seeing Pic's from.I wish you a VERY Speedy Recovery,hurry and get back on your feet so we can see some more of your great pic's.I think everyone here should go to Dave's Store and buy something to help him out,if everyone here bought just a few little thing's that would help him out a good bit.I know i'm going to check his Store out,and pick up a couple of thing's.Again Best Wishes for a Speedy Recovery,and keep your Spirit's up.

I want to give everyone a little update - I did not have my surgery yesterday. My wife has been working all week with the finance people at the Oral Surgeons. They told her we could post date a check for the initial deposit & pay that when we get our tax rebate. Well we got there yesterday morning and the head lady over the finances said no way, they needed a money order up front. We had to re-schedual the first surgery then for the 23rd, I hope to have the money collected by then or I don't know what will happen. My pain meds ran out the night before and with the anxiety of having my teeth pulled, no pain meds & the stress of the financial aspect - well needless to say it has been very taxing on me. I did get a new scrip for my pain meds & my 3rd round of anti-biotics, so I am feeling alot better today. I tell you without insurance you get treated as a 3rd class citizen. THANK YOU for all of your kind words and to everyone who has puchased stuff and helped out, it means the world to me. I have not had the time or energy to list everything yet in my store, alot will be listed this week.
