Thanks for the heads up. I'm moving to Ohio in the morning (everything is packed and ready to go.) Anyway I went online to see how many TRUs there are along with other places to get Star Wars and Joes in the area. In the area I'm moving to there are 3 TRUs :D |
Best of Luck with the move Blowtorch............ :D
Thanks for the great heads up Fantom.............. |

Thanks GS. I'm so hyped about this move. It's a 5 bedroom, 2 bath house. Fire place, hugh backyard, attic and basement (one or both for my Joes) So awesome. :D :D :D :D |
Good luck on the move! Sounds like a great place!
And thanks Fantom, for the info on Star Wars. I'm trying to reserve my spending too much in anticipation of the 25th Joe stuff, but when I'm in the store it's hard to resist all the cool 30th anniv SW stuff. |
Big move from one state to another. Couldn't imagine all the planning involved. Good luck with that.
If you guys and gal have not seen anything about the new 501rst Tie Intercepter it is looking really cool. It comes with a pilot figure and both the vehicle and figure have cool red striping signifying it as part of the 501rst battalion. I always wanted the Tie Interceptor. Never had it as a kid, missed it during its Power of the Force inception, but when I found the pre-order for this most awesome version, I couldn't pass it up. Same with the Y-Wing. If any of you have been wanting either of these 2 vehicles, you have the chance here to get the best version yet. :D |

I'm a former "Buckeye". Where are you moving to? I might know the area. |
I just want the Y- wing! I want more rebel ships.
|
Thanks for the heads up! I love me some Y-Wing-that's my favorite Starfighter..... :p

We are in the Dayton area. My wife grew up here so she knows the area. We're off of Main Street. There are a ton of things to do around here. |
Can someone post direct links? I can't find these...

If I remember right there wasn't a picture of either fighter. I want to say they were in the $30 plus range. http://www.toysrus.com/product/inde...oductId=2575231 http://www.toysrus.com/product/inde...oductId=2659744 |

You know...I am a bit worried about the way Hasbro is taking the Clone Trooper thing as it is, making all the variant color schemes and all, getting you to buy the same fig, over and over, with different paint. As it is, it is a perfect marketing scheme. Doing this with the clone troopers is one thing, but starting it with Storm Troopers and in this example, Tie Fighter Pilots??? Oh man.... |
Quote:
Well I agree with you on the Clone Trooper and buying the same figure over and over. I'm guilty of buying Clone Troopers, but I don't think I'll be doing that with the Tie Fighter...not at the $35 a shot. Right now I don't have any Tie pilots, so this could be a start. Maybe have this as a squad leader. ;) |

I was speaking of the pilot. Look how different he is for this particular Tie Intercepter. They already are creating variant Sand Troopers, with slight variations to their paldron and gear. Think about it, if they started making Storm Troopers with different markings and such, getting collectors to buy the same fig with different color schemes would bleed over to the Storm Troopers too. |

I see the difference with the Pilot. I figured one of those and a few OTC Tie Pilots. I know about the Clone Troopers....because I've been buying the different ones. :o I only know of two Sand Trooper types one with the black paldron and one with the white. Is there something I'm missing ? I'm not being a smart a$$. I got back into collecting Star Wars while working on my lastest dio story. |
If i was single and had money! i had started collecting the relaunch of Star Wars back in the 90's and when i stopped after Episode 1 i think i had at least a 100 or so figures and collector sets vehicles. but now i have to pay bills and the such, it is also the reason i am now looking on hasbro at the dramatic price cuts on G.I. Joe figures and salivating but still can't buy any!!!!!!
oh well it is good to windo shop! but as far as collecting star wars i think for now i will stick to the small titanium series! |

They have black paldron, white paldron, orange paldron, dirty trooper, real dirty trooper, trooper with the amo pack hanging from shoulder, trooper without amo pack, trooper with pike...thats all I can think of. Makes for nice variety if you want to army build, but still, its the same figure over and over. Oh well, at least we will not run out of stuff to collect ;) |

Wow didn't realize it was like that. I'm going as far as the paldron. If I do find any of those which I know will never happen. I'll pick them up, but I'm not going nuts to find them. |
Follow this link for a hi-res pic of the Tie Interceptor:
