I saw the surgeon yesterday, and he's happy with how everything is healing up, so that was good. I'm still sore, but thankfully it's getting a little better each day.
My next appointment is with the oncologist late next month, and it's pretty certain that I'll require another bout of chemotherapy treatments to mop up the few remaining spots left on the pelvic wall. I can't say I'm looking forward to it (I'm still feeling the effects of the last lot of chemo), but there isn't really a lot of choice in the matter - to leave them untreated would, over time, put me back where I was before surgery.

At least there is a positive light at the end of this tunnel. Your one tough guy so I have faith you'll get through it! Still pullin for ya man, it's all up hill from here right? :)

Beast from the east 09-24-2009 03:44 PM

Stay Strong and live each day to the fullest.

We got a lot of good news and I'm certain that things will keep being so.

Tracker 09-24-2009 04:14 PM

Now that is some good news indeed I am very glad

Marty 09-24-2009 05:37 PM

It's good to hear you're healing up well. It's a shame that chemo is so unpleasant, but as you've already proved to us, and more importantly to yourself, you're tough enough to get through it.
Enjoy the grand final tomorrow - GO SAINTS!

Flatline 09-24-2009 07:47 PM

Great news Craig. It won't be long now and this whole thing will be just a bad memory.

gung ho 09-25-2009 10:57 PM

I haven't been on in a while. But when I seen this thread, my jaw literly dropped. I remember the last time I was here, Outrider was doing pretty okay. Now I come on here, and he's worse. Just a real shock to me. Give Outrider my regards. I hope he gets to feeling better. :)

Craig,

Really glad to hear things are better! You are a trooper, that's for sure. We're pulling for you here at my house!
