In the early 90s, I was listening to Pantera's Cowboys From Hell! :p Just as much as I watched cartoons, I think I liked 'real' tv shows better. Depending on what age we're talking, I watched Dukes of Hazard, Brady Bunch and CHiPs. And a year or two later, I was fully engaged in Battlestar Galactica, Buck Rogers, and WCW wrasslin. And I grew up with Star Trek. |
Other than the Dukes of Hazzard and the A-Team, I was never much into live-action as a kid.
The "serious" cartoons I remember most fondly are He-Man, Transformers, ThunderCats, Super Friends, Spider-Man and His Amazing Friends and its companion Hulk show, Go-Bots, and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The "comedy" cartoons I watched most were the Smurfs, plus lots of Hanna Barbera stuff from the 60s that were still in syndication in the 80s, like Scooby Doo, the Flintstones, the Jetsons, etc. You'll note there's no G.I. Joe on my list because, as I've mentioned many times before, I didn't get into Joes until the early 90s. |
