FLATLINE HERE :D
MARCOS ALVAREZ JR. PROUD FATHER OF 3 AT AGE 30. MARCOS THE 3RD NATHAN 6 AND MY BABY GIRL ARIANA. I KNOW I STARTED YOUNG. I HAVE BEEN WITH MY WIFE NOW FOR 9 YEARS. IM AS DEDICATED TO MY JOES AS TO HER. THATS MEANS I REALLY LOVE MY TOYS. AS A KID I GREW UP MIDDLE CLASS I WOULD SAY, IN ORANGE COUNTY CALIFORNIA. I PLAYED AND COLLECTED TOYS FOR A MAJORITY OF MY YOUTH. SADLY THOUGH I THOUGHT I HAD TO GROW UP @ 13 AND STOPED COLLECTING AND GAVE MY JOES TO MY NEPHEWS (BIG MISTAKE CAUSE NOW THEY ARE ALL GONE :o ). WHEN I HAD MY SON IN 99 I REALIZED I HAD AN EXCUSE TO START AGAIN :D MOST OF MY JOES ARE FROM RAH, WHERE I STARTED COOLECTING AGAIN. THIS SITE CAME TO ME ME BY ACCIDENT MESSING WITH MY NEPHEWS COMPUTER AND WHEN I GOT MY OWN I JOINED FIRST THING ;) . I HAVE FOUND ALMOST EVEYONE HERE IS TALENTED, KNOWLEDGEABLE AND VERY COOL. I HAVE LEARNED ALOT AND TRY TO EMULATE SOME OF THE CALIBER OF SHOTS ON JOE DIOS. I HAVE ALONG WAY TO GO THOUGH. |

I go by the name Cap, which is short for Capolan, the fictional realm of Nick Bantock's great work, who is also the author of the Griffin and Sabine series.
My name is Eric, which I seem to share with quite a few fellow diorama artisans. Been married now to another wonderful artisan, for 9 years. Prior to that I was married for 17. I have three kids, 27, 27(not twins, adopted), and 26. As you have guessed, I top the age chart at 47. I've been doing diorama now for over two decades and counting. I'm a disabled fantasy artisan with a penchant for historical and fantasy portraiture. Been in art schools since grade school, but never worked in the field. Like many, been saddled with IT or computers to make sure the kids and family never went without. My favorite dioramas to do were always the fantasy miniatures, which allowed me to create worlds from scratch. Whether of my own writing, or the realms of established fantasy(Forgotten Realms, Dragonlance, Lord of the Rings), if I can envision it, I can bring it to three dimensional reality. I came to Joes through my son, who wanted some sets that were hard to find back in NYC. So I used the talents to make him everything from arctic realms, to covert headquarters. Having made friends and acquaintences through the Joe hobby, this led to a very fulfilling but hardly lucrative hobby of building sets and terrain for my fellow Joe customizers. It probably all started when I had debuted the Hadley's Hope LV426 ALIENS diorama in which I recreated the township, operations, and environs of the movie for a entire round of my customs based on the movie characters. One thing led to another, and then I was making warehouses, operations rooms, labs, city streets, bridges, all manner of sets for Justin(General Hawk), Camper(dan), and Spin Doctor, all of whom have really great ongoing diostories. Soon thereafter, it was full on years after years of making everything from strip clubs, to entire Arabian and American cities, with full lighting and even shops with full items, such as Wowboy's Springfield City. Doing these were a labor of love, because you don't make much money with it because as I told many of my customers, were I to even charge for time, talent, and paint at minimum wage, no one could afford me. Also, doing this sometimes can often make you appear like a Foley Artist, where the actors and actresses get full credit, but the sound people are never mentioned or remember. Thankfully, a great many of the longer customers are pointing all eyes in this direction when people have stated "Where on Earth did you get THAT???" Others like Wowboy, and Jedsoon, have always shared where they get their diorama. His Large Army Joe film won an award at an international film convention, and he sent me a news clipping from his local township, with a picture from the movie with my dio in it. That was very much a surprise. Just recently I did a great back office and hallway for the JCW wrestling gents, and right now, for my good buddy and fellow Sword of Shannara reader, I am making backgrounds of the environs from the books, such as the castle interiors shown before. Since I have been doing architectural projections for hobby for over 20 years, I brought that aspect to the hobby, years ago, where you apply specialized papers to commercial foamboard via adhesives, thus creating some very realistic looking sets. Since then, it has been growing in leaps and bounds. Sadly, one of my fellow friends in the Joe community was making a prediction that set building may be replaced in future years with digital bacgrounds, like those one can make in programs such as Vue, and Bryce. I hope not, because the hands on love of doing sets and terrain is passion, which I have loved sharing with many here and elsewhere for a long time. Until then, I am just honored and happy to be amongst other set builders and fellow artisans. |
Well, I read my old post on here, figured I should update for all you new folks.
I'm Shane, I'm 26 from Winnipeg, Manitoba Canada. I just moved here with Jenn as I lived in Nova Scotia for almost 20 years. It's been a big change, but it's been worth it. Right now I am the assistant manager of a toy store here, and we're expanding so it's exciting to be part of the team, but it's ALOT of work. I've been a Joe fan as long as I can remember. I've always had them around, as my dad is military so I grew up with those ideals in mind. I'm a big video game fan, I'm not too bad at poker and pool. I like music, movies and just relaxin. That's me. |

Welcome aboard Cap. At least I can say I'm not the oldest around here anymore! ;) :D |
Hello....
Hello all, My name is Mike.
I live in San Antonio, Texas. I have always been a huge fan of GiJoe, about a year ago I stumbled into the TriState forum. I saw a picture of Viloentfix's massive army builders and Dio's, and I was hooked. If I remember my first major score on ebay was 12 Motor Vipers. "Sorry if I outbid somoen on that here!" I think I am up to 60 now. I also have 112 TRU Vipers. My goal is 100 Motor Vipers, and I want to build a custom Terror Drome from Scratch. My goal is to have it built by 2009. I want to take it to the Convention for display. "It's nice to have goals!" LOL! :p I am also working on 2 dios right now. Oh yeah, plus I work a full time job, full time student, married w/2 kids, and I work approximately 8 hours as an intern at Lackland Air Force Base office of History and research. I truely do not get enough sleep! LOL! :) I welcome any feedback on my pictures I supply here. Thanks again! |
Nice to meet you mike, welcome aboard!

Here goes nothing.
I'm Kurt, and I'm one of the young'uns here at being 16 (But I have an old soul  ) . My first action figures were the POTF2 Star Wars figures back in 1995/1996. I still collect Star Wars figures, as they have improved greatly over the years, I just wish I could find the new waves as they come out. I also was a huge Beast Wars fan. I now regret selling most of them :( . I got into joe stuff in 2002. I soon had a small collection. Then I discovered the superior vintage figures through the internet. My Joeverse at first took shape towards the Diostories people had on the net at the time, mostly General Hawk's. This was the only joe "media" I had to work with. Now I've read some of the marvel series and understand it all more. As for me, I'm currently a student, I have all A's right now. I have a few friends, but none of them know about my hobby. I spend my free time here, taking pictures for the site, customizing figures, and of course playing with my figures. :D |
Saw this a while ago, but I just got around to posting on it. Good idea Ender. My name is Jon Pflug and I'm from Queens, New York. I'm 19 years old and am currently attending college at St. John's University. I'm undecided at school, but I'm probably going to declare myself a criminal justice major soon in the hopes that I may one day be an F.B.I. agent or a lawyer. (Maybe both)
I could best describe myself as an outgoing person who can be a bit crazy at times (Case in point, I am currently auctioning the right to cut my hair in any style the winner wants). I'm a former baseball and hockey player for my high school and travel teams until injuries caught up with me (I tore a labrum in my right shoulder while playing hockey and now I can't throw anymore or play contact hockey due to it still not being 100% repaired). I can still golf and play intramural sports at school since neither affects my shoulder much, so I'm still active with those things. I've been collecting Joes my entire life, taking breaks to either collect other things (I got caught up with almost any other action figures or collectible card game from recent memory) in the interim. I can't remember a time in my life where I haven't been a collector of one thing or another. I always seem to be drawn back to G.I. Joe. They were my favorites as a kid when I used to play with the other kids on my block when I was little. When it relaunched in 2002, I began a new era in my collecting since most of my figures were in poor shape or lost and began a more intact collection that has been steady from that time. I had been on a few other message boards before I stumbled upon this one (Joecustoms, TNI, and Tri-State) and became engrossed in the premise. I really enjoy setting up photos and hope to one day put together a dio-story when I get a better grasp of photoshop. Even though I am dorming at school now, I try to get a few photos to take every time I return home to keep myself active on the site. I'm glad I found a place to showcase my work and has such a great community of posters. My time on the site has been great and I plan on continuing being an active member of the site. - Jon "Tunnelrat88" Pflug |
Wow Kurt........thanks for such a great look into 'who' you really are........very, very

Just a little update on me....I no longer teach Computer networking at 29 Palms, I'm now living at Camp Pendleton (about a mile from the Ocean!) and I'm a Data Chief for A Combat Logistics Regiment!

Well I guess it's time for me to introduce myself. Hi I'm Dash... I MEAN... Dan!!!-LOL :D But you can call me Flint!!! :D I've been into G.I.Joe before they where even 3 3/4. I'm 35 & Married to one Beautiful Lady (you might say she's my Lady J) & we just had a baby recently. I'm into Sci-fi (especially Star Trek) & Toy collecting.
I've been Friends with General Scarlett since I was 4 yrs old & we've been into the Real American Heroes for the past 25 years, making up our own Joeverse every step of the way and we are still doing it today thanks to Joedios!!!:D I have been having a Great time on the site & my only complaint is I wish I had more time to spent on it, but I try to get on as much as I can. Scarlett & I are currently working on a story for the dios & getting all our info. together for our Joeverse post it's taking longer then we thought to get it all together, cause we have 25 years of stories to get out there!!! :D Thanks for letting me enjoy this site & I hope you all enjoy my work, I have definately enjoyed all of yours!!! :D YO JOE!!! |
Well it's about damned time you 'introduced' yourself buddy!!!! And don't you worry, they all know about my godson........don't forget, I posted up the very first pictures ever taken of him!!!! :D
Who? Me? Proud? DAMN SKIPPY!!!!!! ;) |
Suppose i should say Hi
So hi my name is Erik, I'm sort of new to a lot of Joe collecting and custom things i mean I've never had more then 10 joes at any one time and when i hit 16 two years ago i sorta gave them all away telling my self "Their toys and you should stop playing with toys". boy am i slapping my self for that now. any way i'm a major Cobra fan and i have my first major project in the works as a Cobra Sub-carrier on scale with the 3.75 joes. Need to get a hold of some Viper to crew it and a rattler to scale the launch deck but yea. also I'm an aspiring writer and took the time to write up a short story about little "Neo-Cobra" group. *waves and crawls into a lurker corner until something catches his eye* |

Hello everybody. It's been a while since I registered JoeDios and actively started to participate in the boards. Now, after a timeout, I'm back with some pictures to show, and with the batteries at full charge :)

Yo Joe!
My name is David, I am 39 (am I the old fart here?), married with 4 daughters. My 2 youngest collect GI Joe & Star Wars figures just like their daddy. I collect pre-1990 Joes & Vintage Star Wars figures. I have been making & selling Dioramas for years, some of my work can be seen here. I stumbled on this site a while back & have been lurking around checking out all the cool shots. I have photographed my dioramas, but nothing like I have seen here. I finally got the nerve to try it out & posted some pictures, thanks for all the kind words so far. This is a awesome site & look forward to being a part of it!

My name is Eduardo and I'm reporting for duty. I'm an actor/writer from Florida. I've been a longtime member of the JBL forums. I had some pics of my collection over at my MySpace page. Finally decided to post them over here so more people can check them out.
Its great to be here and I hope I can find the time to post more stuff. My head is full of ideas. |
Yo!
Hi! I'm still alive! Apologies for just dropping off the face of the earth, what happened was that I suddenly started working 9 to 5 (went into a kind of shock :)) but I'm hoping to make time soon to post some pictures again. I've still been checking in to look at pics, but really haven't had time to do more than that. Many times I've wanted to comment on the awesome work that can always be seen here. Hello to all my old friends here and hi too to everyone I haven't met yet. I was a bit disappointed with the articulation on many of the new joes, but I'm determined to do some cool pics with them, and believe it or not, I actually got the cobra troops to hold their dragonovs properly!
Enough from me, just wanted to say hi, and that I've missed being here with you all. |
Hey, welcome back Silencer, it's always cool to see familiar old faces return! :)
|
That's why we always leave the light on.......... ;)

WELL and who is the youngest member ( im only 26 )
|
Well I hope this isn't a contest, because there is def. not a winner :D
but I'm 24 |
Hey all,
I'm Dave, and I take pictures. I'm on the tfw2005.com boards, and hisstank.com forums as Autobot Dave. I put most of my backgrounds in with Photoshop, but have been itchin' to try and put things in more realistic settings. I'd like to even do a dio-story one day, just to see if I could pull off a good one. That'll have to wait though, as time seems to be at a premium lately. My favorite character has long been Flint (first G.I. Joe, too). I love the 25th version, though I'm one of those ungrateful putzes that'd love him to have the rolled-up sleeves and gloves. I want the gloves as an homage, but as a bonus, they'd also get rid of those all-to-obvious forearm cuts. I suppose that's about as controversial as I get when it comes to G.I. Joe :) I like the more "real" aspects of G.I. Joe, so I pick up the occasional BBI vehicle, which I'm sure'll make it into some of my pics. I'm also lookin' into picking up some Marauder stuff. General Scarlett pointed me this way, so it's all her fault if my stuff makes your eyes bleed :D Have fun, everyone!!! |
well let me be the first to welcome you DaveCW2 and i'm looking forward to seeing your pics( i've never bled from the eyes before..hahaha) :D
|
Hey Dave!!! Glad you took me up on the offer!!!
I can't wait to see your contributions to JoeDios!! Another member who does A LOT of  photoshopping is 'Outrider'........it's going to be fun to see another 'master' ..........BRING IT!!!! ;) :D |

Hi! my name is Rachel, I'm 22 and I live with my boyfriend Cory also know as "fireflyed" on here. I am a "lurker". Just wanted to say hello before I start posting on my own. Keep up the great work! tah tah! :)
