View Full Version : I'll Miss This Garden/Where Do You Shoot?

We're relocating to Lahore in August, and I'm mostly excited, 'cause our garden is pretty played out as a photo setting.

Still, it's served me well these past ten months or so. Here's a zoom from a distant shot which makes it seem useless as a setting ('cause I really hate giant, out-of-scale leaves) to the kind of close-up shot I've produced so much (too much) lately:

Where do you shoot? Does your house and yard provide good settings, or do you have to hike or drive somewhere, as I did in Twin Falls? (Now that canyon is something I REALLY miss!).

Cheers,

Monte

I usually do mine in my yard, at my grandparents cabin or at a sandy spot where there use to be a gym but now is really cool because its all sand hills and it looks like a desert :)

I've been stuck in a small apartment in the city since getting back into Joes. Not the best environment for photos but I was able to take advantage of being on the fourth floor and did some aerial shots that I was really happy with.

I have to move at the end of the month but on the bright side, soon I'll have access to unlimited outdoor locations. I expect to be contributing a lot more to JoeDios.

I thankfully live in a extremely mountainous area. So in other words there is a lot of places to shoot that's in hiking distance! I'll post pictures sooner or later :P

I live right in the heart of a crowded suburb, so the only places I can shoot are along the back fence of my rear courtyard/paved backyard (setting up is a pain), and on my workbench under lights (setting up is easier, but the results are less satisfactory).

Where ever I see a spot that works. As long as I have my camera and a figure with em.

I go out hiking and bring some. I try to fake areas and shoot in boxes or against backgrounds.
