The 2010 JoeCon is in full swing. News is coming in from various sites but since there are no reps from the JD, we have to rely on other sites. I am throwing down a few links for people to check out. And to note, I'm throwing down THESE link because there's no membership required to view the pictures and read the notes. I did the searching so you don't! Enjoi.
General Joes pics of the goodies there. You get the POC figures, POC vehicles, Resolute Figures and in the last batch, the Hasbro Dioramas (which I rather like the desert and city scapes)

This is a quick listing of what's up for the rest of the year and some of 2011. Note that there is a cartoon coming. From ToyNewsInternational.

More doom and gloom regarding the o-ring molds. No future o-ring con sets. The Hydro-Viper and diver sets may not even be made in ARAH style. Hurricane mold destroyed years ago.
Actually, the Club roundtable almost never has anything good to say. A lot of
"couldn't do this", "wanted to do this", "might do this but it depends..."

I want to see more pics of diorama's .. i've seen about 4 there, but wouldn't mind more than just the top views. If there's any accessories/props that look interesting other than barrels, then those too. The new figure art seems interesting, and how about views from the sides and back? Most pics are of the figures from the front. I wanna see all around.

The next wave of Joe/Cobra figures also include the hand articulation as well if anyone noticed. the hand bends at the wrist like the Our War toys do. Also no one has mentioned as reported over on General Joes http://generalsjoes.com/ look under the SK Omega section....This is what we know so far:
* 3 3/4″ Figures
* O-ring style with screws in the back, metal rivets, metal T-bars
* High quality vehicles with a very 80’s “feel”
* Elaborate, intricate, well detailed tooling
* The goal is to have a vintage figure vibe mixed with a very modern day aesthetic for a good bridge between the two. They want to appeal to both audiences
* Production is in the very early stages, hoping for product launch middle of 2011
* Figures, comic, and animation all hitting
* Main figure and vehicle designers are Ron Rudat and Guy Cassady, two of the brightest brains behind the original Real American Hero line
So O-Ringed figures are not TOTALLY dead... just from Hasbro. That helicopter there looks kinda like the Cobra Transport Chopper and then two jets including a Harrier styled jet and another one as well.

Yeah, that SK Omega stuff looks promising. Very The Corps like. Especially that medic with the red cross on his chest, very reminiscent of a similar Corps figure.
And that Hive playset, Terrordrome anyone ?

The best G.I.JOEs I ever seen!
ARAH with details of B.B.I.'s figures: this is an other story, other world, other level!
Hasbro rules now!
I am just earing "Another one bites the Dust" (Iron Man 2 citation :) )!

yep
I like the sniper rifle but i forget what it's call but i know what is dose as i seen it on future weapons
BTW SK Omega looks like it might be something interesting to keep and eye out for
I am little put off as the legs on the proto-type card art look like they might be short and stubby like the original o-ring figs(in know this won't earn me any point here) but that's one issue i always had with the original figs. I don't see why they can't do a best of both words things here and give them o-rings and proper proportions, but i will say it too early to tell just yet.

I thought I would never buy another Snake-Eyes but the POC version looks like the best yet. Pursuit of Cobra line looks really good, lots of great figures and awesome accessories!. And thankfully it looks like the movie has been left in the past. :D

I was there yesterday( sorry...no pics), and the dioramas were pretty awesome. There was a Joecustoms dude there with some ridiculous customs, but an awesome 25th style TF Skystriker figure. The Resolute Baroness head looks ridiculous up close, like Betty Rubble :( Marauder was there and those guys are awesome! They were giving away items with purchases and i grabbed a fire extinguisher...very sweet. I missed out on a huge deal...con sets from 05-99 were 2 for $200! all in all, it was cool. I totally forgot to get cards from some of the vendors! there was a guy with every part imaginable for the FLAGG (OTTO).

"Spirit looks like Billy from Predator..."
Shadow Hunter looks like Predator's little brother
These guys look awesome. That Cobra Shock Troop seems to be the Cobra version of the Joe Pit Commando.
I'm actually kinda glad nothing is really coming out until fall. That gives me all spring and summer to save my pennies for to buy.
The Omega guys look cool. I hope their vehicles are as cool as the drawings make them look, and not some cheesy half sized POS.
Tracker, my thoughts exactly, a 3D version of the old missile base.

No Female Figs!
Has anyone noticed no females in the next POC? Nothing in the convention about any female Joe or Cobra. At least I didn't see any other than Resolute, but that's Resolute, not POC.

Good call I hadn't noticed cause I was just glancing at them. Then I started thinking, are there any African American figures either.
A quick glance over the list says no, the only minorities I am seeing is Qucik Kick, Spirit, Alpine (whom I believe has been seetled as being samoan), Storm Shadow (And with so many of him every time he almost doesn't really count), and maybe Shadow Tracker (he is masked but I read something he was from the same tribe as Spirt).
Wow a stable of Joedome and practically non-existant.

I was rather happy with a lot of the stuff they showed, I adore the mech, the new SWAT-like Cobra trooper guy was great, and Spirit will also be fun for photographing.
Alpine (whom I believe has been seetled as being samoan).
WHAT?!?
That doesn't make sense on numerous levels, the easiest to decipher being the fact that Alpine was the 1985 New Black Character (one a year until 87) and the fact his name isn't polynesian at all.

I assumed Alpine was a Sephardic Jew who anglicized his name from Pinheiro. And Bazooka was Polish-Americna Ashkenazi Jew, hence the amusing repartee between them.
