It's so funny, when I was attacking the pegs at Big Lots today, the 80's movie opening theme was in my mind. "COBRA, cobra... no where to run, no where to hide..." Does stuff like that ever happen to you? Walk around walmart sometimes and the Cobra theme .. don't know which one.. but the one in the cartoon that usually played when introducing the cobra side of the plot comes to my mind (example, it's the track played during the 80's movie when you first see the terror drome, and then the flight pods come out and zoom around the stuns). Followed by the hisses of snakes. Sometimes the 80's movie dialog where Serpentor is saying "blunderer's! Fools! We poses power greater than any on Earth. And yet our foe is not GI Joe, but you're collective incompetence!"
Does this happen to you? Echos from the cartoon bounce around in your brain when driving or walking to class or something?

Oh God yeah! Both Flint and I can carry on complete conversations by quoting the toon/movie.......and we are FOREVER saying 'And Knowing Is Half The Battle!' after somebody comments with 'Thanks, now I know...'

I was walking into Walmart the other day, I had on a Cobra Commander t-shirt. He is wearing a hood with his finger pointing and it says "Cobra wants you!" Well this black lady looks at me and says "MFer, Ku Klux Klan!" Beat that story :D

Yeah, the music that usually gets stuck in my noggin is from the first mini-series. But it's only six of seven notes, like a CD that skips. I have to stop and force myself to finish the music in my head in order to movie on.
I also get the VvV end credit song or the little Resolute tune from when each segment gets introed on-line.
Vader, is the CC in white? Otherwise I can't see the corrolation. I did have an individual accuse me of being unpatriotic and a supporter of terrorism becasue I have a black shirt with a gold Cobra logo on it. I told the guy it was completely fictional, he said it didn't matter, that I was still wearing an insignia of a terrorist organization and fictional of not it's still terrorism.

Cool story Dave. Cobra logo is great, better than the Joe's.
So... I can't be fan of the Terminators nor Skeletor nor The Empire nor Zurg nor Minime?????

The images from the opening of the cartoon movie fill my brain. Hawk going full auto on someone and the commander on the top of a trouble bubble. Whoever scored the music for the episodes and movie did a good job. They always seem to capture the moment.

Joe march, it sort of faded away over time.
The main music used in seasons 1 and 2 (which was shared with The Transformers seasons 2 and 3), as well as the movie, was composed by Robert J. Walsh.
There's tons of interesting information about '80's cartoon music at this site (http://www.anime.dds.nl/).

I first noticed this several years ago. I had bought both Transformers and G.I.*JOE on VHS. There was a TF episode where the Decepticons started doing good things in some strange scheme and a parade was held in their honor and the music being played by the marching band was a heavily used tune from the Joe 'toon
