Ok, here is the deal....tell us a little about yourself.

For Starters let's get your name on here and our REAL name (if you wanna give it!)

Ender098 = Frank Nash

I'm a Marine. I was originally in the Army. I joined 6 months out of high school and hated it (or so I thought!) I swore I'd never go back. I went to College, met my wife and tried to get back in the Army. The recruiters at the time were a bunch of slackers and after 5 months of getting jacked around said "If you don't like it, try the MArines!". I did, and 2 1/2 weeks late was in Parris Island and I've been a Jarhead ever since!

In the Army I was a Combat Engineer (C-4 Powered Grunt)! In the Corps I started out as a Communications Center Operator (READ: Over paid spell checker!), and later merged into Data Communications. Right now, I'm a Gunnery Sergeant in Charge of a Regimental S6 shop (Communications Directorate).

I have 2 kids. Tony is a 14 yo Genius and Video Game addict. Too smart for his own good and an Avowed Atheist (I think he just says that to get under my wife's skin!). Becky is 12 and a tomboy/Drama Queen....how can she be both? She's Becky. Some of you have run into her on MSN, and yes, she's a Cracker. Kris, my wife is in Daycare...she's been working with kids since about 2000. I have a little black Chiahuahua named Rosie. She, too is a Character....she fits in perfectly with us loonies! LOL

And then there is the SECOND Love of my life (Behind my Joes....). My 2008 Dodge Magnum, Lola! I LOVE that car!

ok, enough about me, tell me a little about you!!!

Silent Dusty = Dustin Colwell

I am an Aviation Systems Technician (fancy name for Aircraft Mechanic) in the Canadian Air Force. I originally started out in an Army uniform as a Communications Research Operator (Communications Intel), after about 7 1/2 years of being a scope dope, I got tired of it, regrew my brain and joined the Air Force.

I am currently a Master Corporal (Equiv. Staff Sgt US Marines) in 14 Air Maintenance Squadron in Greenwood Nova Scotia, where I work on the CP140 Aurora and CP140A Arcturus (both based on the P3 Orion).

I am married with two girls, Emma, my oldest is 11, in love with Taylor Lautner from the Twilight movies, and plays the Bass Clarinet in her school band, she is also the resident smart kid. My youngest Allyson, is our drama queen, she is very much a girly girl, however, she is a huge fan of Superman, Supergirl, and Smallville, she also loves musicals, and Mel Brooks (gotta love her).

My wife Janice does private housekeeping, and emergency childcare for the Military Family Resource Centre on our base. We also have a Yorkie named Rufus, who goes nuts when he hears the word 'Ball'.

My obsession are my Joes, I also enjoy RPG's (the ol fashioned pen and paper kind), board games, and have been know to play the occasional video game.

Lehsreh, or Hershel Christopher Ray Layne as the world knows me.

Working for Bank of America right now, known there as robin hood because of the fact I deny the rich their overdraft fees and give them to the poor. But my job seems to change once a year as does my attitude. So basically I'm still trying to find out who I am. The only thing constant is my love for cartoons, G.I. Joe, my grandmother, great aunt and animals. I have 8 cats and 3 ferrets, Jinx, Binx and Podo.
I love playing minds and I'm often told I'm to demanding on others and that I'm an over analytical a$$hole. I'm really not, its just that people are always a let down. Thats why I seriously like the other species of animals better then the human species. I guess you can tell I'm to honest for my own good also, but that honesty makes me the person everyone comes to when they need someone to talk to.
Unmarried and no kids, I do not know what my future holds. Perhaps go back and finish my psychology degree, or become a nutritionist, or vet. since I'm still changing I don't know. Thats bad since I'm 30, but I act like a teen and date no one older then 21 and usually told I look around 24. Other then Joes I like to workout, train and fight in MMA and any sports. My favorite Joes are Quick Kick, dusty and Sci-Fi. I also like the lesser loved characters Cross County and Psych-Out, and the unpopular cobra la and crystal ball. Don't be hating.

Scuba Steve - Patrick McDonnell

Unimpressively I am a local truck driver for a company that manufactures flex duct for HVAC here in Phoenix AZ, although I have a BA in computer animation and graphic design and an Accociates degree in video production I found being behind the wheel of the big rig made me happier than an office cubical. So today I use my evil graphics training to entertain you fine folk while at the same time finding an excuse to play with my toys! Lately I have been taking a break from the hobbie to give my creativity a recharge. I also had been trying to befriend my 16 year old step daughter who ended up being a selfish, using, little piece of sh@t like her two older sisters so not all my away time has been productive.

Zedhatch=Robert Hatch.

Married with 3 daughters (step), unlike most people I know I did not ever stop collecting toys when I reached that magical age of girls. This is my second marrage, first one was just too young. Much better with my second wife.

Been going through some tough things lately, My mother in law was in a bad accedent and had some head truama which has made things very hard latley. Hence my speratic pressence around here. On the plus side she got awarded enough money from the trucking company that hit her to take care of her for the rest of her life.

Sorry for the depressing part.

On toys I have always had a very broad interests, but I stick primarly to the 1:18th scale. My faves are Gi joe (Of course) and Star Wars. Of late my main interests have been Marvel Universe and DCIH (Since the new articulation has begun). other Lines that have held my interests are Indian jones, Mincroman, Hellboy and many more.

Also I am the author of Toxies 1:18th universe which (to me) is the biggest emotional outlet I have. When all hell breaks loose I just retreat into that universe and come up with the silliest, craziest and (to me) finniest things I can and well you hopefully have read the results.

Beyond that I have recently gone back to college to finish up my degree, should be done this dec.

Well, I live in Winnipeg, MB where I am the assistant manager at a clothing store called Bootlegger, been there almost 2 years now. I'll be 29 in 2 weeks. I moved here from Nova Scotia about 3 years ago, and when I was in NS I palled around with Dusty.

I collect lots of different kinds of action figures, mostly Joes and Star Wars, but anything I think is neat I'll pick up.

I play video games, board games, and RPGs like D&D.

I'm a published poet, author and musician.

Black Knight - John Black

I'm 30, I live in Knoxville, TN and I've been collecting toys for years now, my collection focuses on GI Joes, Transformers, and Star Wars. I have a daughter who just turned 5 and her mom and I seperated back in August 2009. Since then I've been going to school for Mechanical Engineering and I've been putting all my money into restoring and customizing a 1985 Chevy Camaro. I also play alot of video games.

I haven't been around in a while due to school, the car, my PS3, and not having a camera.

That about sums me up.

-Peace,
B.K.

Otto the Otter = Otto Phillips (Otto, that's "Toot" inside out, and Phillips, yeah, that's right, I'm German and Irish. That means my family is highly efficient and well organized at drinking and fighting)

I am currently an unemployed highly trained steering wheel chasing, truck aiming monkey living in Mesa, Arizona (a suburb of Phoenix), and I am a former Marine. I live in Mesa but my heart is in Denver, Colorado and I'm hoping once I get employed again, I plan on moving back there.

My primary interests right now are Joes, which is a good thing because although it's not the cheapest hobby, it does keep me from getting in trouble from other vices. The photgraphy part of it helps me contribute to this fine site as well as gets me out of the house for a few hours a day. The picture taking and story telling part has gotten my creative juices flowing again. If I end up going back to Denver, it'll give me a reason to buy my Show Job some friends and equipment as Phoenix is sorely lacking in the snow department.

If it ain't Joes, it's Heavy Metal and if it's not that, it's off roading (but not so much for a while, that can get kind of spendy)

Ender, glad to see you're a working Marine, I wasn't sure if I'd have to dumb down our conversations or not.

I feel like we did this before, years ago in some bygone era that is now long lost to the mists of time...

Anyway, my name is Matt, and I live in the California Bay Area. I'm 31 years old, and I work in Risk Management for a construction company. I'm single, never been married, and I have zero children.

G.I. Joe is actually not my number one hobby/interest; it ranks third behind Marvel Comics and Transformers. Though lately I've become pretty disillusioned with Marvel's current output (I still love their reprints though), and since I don't buy movie stuff, I haven't purchased any new Transformers in some time. Recently a friend got me into Bowen Designs' Marvel statues, though I only currently have three (Adam Warlock, Moon Knight, and black costume Spider-Man).

Besides collecting toys, I watch lots of television and see lots of movies, and about twice a month, I run a pen & paper RPG campaign for some friends, set in the Marvel Universe, using the Mutants & Masterminds game system.

My real name is Luís Galileu Gall Tonelli, almost 30 y.o., married and got a son. I'm a physics teacher and working to get my master degree on that, maybe by the end of the year. I'm living in south Brazil in a state called Rio Grande do Sul in a small city, Lajeado.

I was always about action figures, but they were pretty expensive here in Brazil back in time. So I'd huge armies of green armymen. Around my 12 y.o. got my first G.I. Joe as a gift, Reaktor (Fast Draw). After that came some other in and like most of the folks here I hate myself for letting them go by the 15 y.o.

I was back collecting in July 2.005, by semtember of 2.005 I was a registered member here and since that I never stopped collecting. But I'm a 3 3/4 collector all the figures I think are fine to go with the Joes and money let me, I go out and grab.

I'm also posting pictures on Flickr.com, part and founder of the "Shit Talking Brigade". So you can find me at MSN in a regular, but I also like RPGs in the old fashion ways and some 1st person shooter. Love to read some comic books too.

My name is Paul, I'm 32, have dual degrees in Chemistry and Neurobiology, and have been kicked out of 2 of the top 10 graduate programs in each for fighting with adminstrators over "taxing" my project to fund others in classes that were competitive grant writing contests; I understood the university took a cut, but I don't want to share with people who couldn't cut it to secure their own funding. :D I work as a permament research assitant (read STAFF) at the University of Iowa in the Dept of Biochemistry at the moment. I'm married with one son who'll be 11 weeks old tomorrow. GI Joe is secondary to me, Star Wars is primary, but I customize both equally. I have a customs blog (link in signature) of that work. I decided to join here because I don't display much Joe stuff, but do like to take it out and play around with it. My wife is from China, but do you really think she knows where the illegal deals are being the factories are in the SouthEast and she's from Beijing farther north? Of all the collecting and posing/displaying I do, she most enjoys looking over my shoulder and driving me crazy, at this site. The biggest thing I collect is actually Star Wars books and I'm very sad to see WotC let their RPG license expire.

Hey Kids,
dancontrino=dan contrino. as you can tell by my handle...i'm very clever. i'm clever, 34, married, kids are 2 and 3 and i own an antique store in Plymouth Mass which funds my Hasbro and Chap-mei addiction. I could always tell Otto and Frank were Marines from their senses of humor and how efficiently they respond to pms! My brother Mike was a gunnery sergeant in Okinawa and San Diego. I'm not trying to be too glib because i'm not as funny as Frank or Otto or Marcos. I like to say that i use a camera worse than anyone on Dios and I am "The King of Flash"! I love to ruin a good composition with "flash". Anyway, Joedios is pretty awesome and its nice to know that so many other 30ish men and women have a similar, non-narcotic, addiction. i also love that this habit is international...there are some pretty cool characters here from all over! I gotta go watch some Space Ghost now.

We have a daughter Gianna who was born last year @ 26 weeks she was 1 pound 5 ounces or 598 grams at birth. She was in the NICU from Feburary 2nd until June 5th of last year. She is one and healthy now just small for her age. Once she was born I knew my job as a Restaurant Manager had to end it was hard enough while she was in the hospital the hours are brutal not to mention the switching shifts. Last year the same week gianna was coming home from the hospital I bought my own Thomas english Muffin/Brownberry/Arnold Bread route (I'm the Muffin Man). It is great bring my own boss and now Dana can stay home with the baby. Guilt-Ridden was the band I was in from 2001 to 2006 (the cobra logo was a button we sold) You can hear a few of our songs on myspace. I've always loved GI Joe since my Grandma bought me my first six figures. Got into buying them againg around 97-98 with the tru exclusives and started buying vintage. My friend Tim and I started buying people's collections. Eventually we had so much extra stuff our frind adam came aboard and TAD toys was born we sold at toy shows fromm 1999-2006. This site is great and I have made some great friends here. The best part is I was able to trim down my collection if I don't take pics of it I don't need it.

Hey kiddies,
I'm Dave Jones. (No I wasn't named after the Pirate or the Monkey.) ;)
I live in southern Utah and have lived here all of my life except for a few years that I lived in New England. I graduated from college with a degree in Information Systems and am currently doing Tech Support for an Insurance Brokerage. My wife Brenda and I bought our first home last year and three months afterwards welcomed our first child, Daniel Willard, into our new home.

I grew up with G.I. Joe. I inherited all of my brothers collection and later bought his friends collection which included an incomplete Terror Drome and Night Raven. I kept my collection but didn't do much with it until Christmas 2004 when my Mom bought me a mint V1 Stormshadow and from then, I was hooked again. I Have been searching around this site and ebay to try finishing my collection and all that I have left to finish my collection are a few of the Night Force figures. While waiting for a good deal on the Joes I need, I have been army building and trying to complete some vehicles I have that are incomplete.

Interesting story. I was perusing a local toy shop and met a guy that was trying to get rid of his Joe collection. I talked to him and wound up buying his collection for $3 a figure and $5 a vehicle. Totaled about $378 for the whole lot. 7 boxes later I was in G.I. Joe Heaven again.

I got my first Joe in '83, and have been collecting ever since. I was active duty Army for 10 years, and now I work with 401k accounts. It is quite a contrast, but I enjoy my new career.
My other hobby is the American Civil War, and I alternate setting up giant battles in my basement with Joes and 54mm civil war soldiers.
My wife and I enjoy Colorado, and are content to let our friends take care of the having kids thing.
I really enjoy this site! Keep posting the great pictures!

Greetings brief mortals,

I am Death, also known as the Grim Reaper, the Destroyer of Worlds. I have always been a Joe fan, although I could not afford to maintain my collection during the 90's in my college years. I graduated from university with a Masters in Information Technology, have a Bachelors in History (Asian Studies). I spend my free time writing programs, doing 3D artwork, and now, collecting GI Joe. It is tanks to JoeDios that I am back into the Joes, and thanks to Sonneilon that I also collect Microman.

I recently got married, the wife likes the Joes too. Other interests include reading classic literature, anime/manga, classic movies, CAD, robotics, and most recently 3D printing.

yorktownjoe - Joe, upper thirties (38, I think)

I reside in Green Bay, WI with my wife and two sons. 3 out of 4 of us think Joes are great! (I guess I should have turned that into a logic puzzle.) 1 out of 4 of us picks up the Joes. I shudder to think what would happen if my wife was the one who had to pick them up... :)

Anyway, I have a Master's degree in Management, work at a technical college in the office, and also get to teach a class or two on the side in accounting and finance.

I like this site and checking out the pictures posted here, even when I can't comment on each one. I wish I had more time to post. I appreciate that most of the comments here focus on positive things and ways to improve. I have learned a lot about lighting and contrast from reading posts and "how to" sections. Thank you all for keeping this a wonderful place to visit!

I am a Sales and Training Manger at one of the Guitar Center Stores in Atlanta Ga. I have a wife and one 3 year old Daughter and neither really like GI Joe but both put up with it. I am an Avid WWII buff and spend more of my off time watching Doc's on the subject then anything else really. I have played Guitar for about 16 years now. RNRHERO actually comes from the fact that someone asked me one time in college if I thought I was somekind of Rock and Roll Hero or not and I told him Yes, Yes I am. Its been an in joke with a few friends for about 15 years now.

As far as posted ages, I'm laying first claim to the oldest guy here - I'm 47. I've been married to Lisa, a wonderful woman, for the past 25 years this year. Yea, go us! We have a 22 year old son at Georgia Tech and a 15 year old daughter in high school.

I finally decided what I wanted to be when I grew up when I was around 40 - went back to school, got my BS in middle grades education and later my Masters in Instructional Technology. I've been a teacher for the past 5 years, with 3 of those being in Instructional Tech. That position is being eliminated next year due to budget cuts, so I'll be back in the classroom. Spent too many years in retail and other crap jobs prior to teaching.

Hope to be debt free except for the house in 3 months.

On my iPod, I have everything from Vivaldi and Bach to King Crimson, Jean Michel Jarre to Pink Floyd, Emerson, Lake & Palmer to Breaking Benjamin and Tool - weird musical tastes.

I grew up with the classic 12" GI Joe line from the 60's and 70's - had some awesome stuff. I bought my first 3 3/4" Joe in 1982 when I was 19 and have been addicted to the little guys ever since. Bought a ton of the 12" guys in the 90's and early 00's. My passion for Joes is torn between the 3.75" and 12" guys. The little guys dominate the market and my interest right now and Hasbro's 1/6th offerings are crap.

I've sold off way too much of my 80's-90's Joe line but the pride and joy of my entire collection is my Defiant Shuttle Complex. Joedios rocks and is my fave GI Joe site on the web. Lot's of great folks here!

Hi there the name is Frederick A. Bueno from the Philippines. I used to have lots of toys back then but i gave them away during my adolescent stage because i thought it's no longer appropriate to play with toys and action figures. Until by the year of 2008 i saw newly released gi joe figures on shelves again so i decided to collect storm shadow and snake eyes but eventually it became more addictive i bought everything that is appealing and awesome to me.

My interest in photography and visual art stimulated my desire to collect action figures. you could take pictures with it and share to everybody who is also interested making photographs or dios of these little plastic friends.

Graduated my BS-Nursing last 2008 although i did not want the course. I ended up being a call center representative for 6 months and recently unemployed due to some family trips and board exam.

Reaching my 26 years of age this coming April and hopefully find another job for my toy needs

Back in the 80s the UK transformers comic started to incorporate reprinted US marvel joe stories into its pages, and I really got into it. I stopped collecting the toys and comics in the early 90s.

Only got back into joes just before summer 09. Bought a couple of 25th figures at first, but realised I wasn't so much into reminders of the old days (except for IGs), so it's been the ROC line for me.

I have a BA in Animation, which I got 10 years ago, but I could not find work in the industry back then, so I did not do much with it until a few months ago when I started working at an elementary school introducing the kids to basic animation. It gave me the confidence to try some of my own stuff after so many years. Also taught myself a bit about photography. I was scared to touch Photoshop or similar software until my wife calmed me down and taught me the basics. Thank goodness she did!

My main interest in joes now is in doing storytelling and making dio-stories, so it was a pleasant surprise to find joedios. It's been so great being here and seeing everyone's ideas and work, and being inspired by it.

My name is Andrew and I am 17 I'm done school in a few short months I will be moving up to London Ontario two hours away from home to go into a photography program there with my friend. I also might start working on a new Dragonball series with some one I met on a forum. It will be an official cartoon  I have been collecting vintage joes since I was about 11. My first gi joes where Sgt. Savage, D-day, General Blitz and the Iron stormtrooper. The first vehicle I got was the Grizzly jeep from Sgt. Svage and I also got the figure with the movie. So yeah I've been into Joe for a while.

Eric Vaughan, but universally known as simply "Cap".

Been many things at different times, until becoming disabled in 1996. Spent the better time when not writing or other artistic endeavors fleshing out dioramas and sets for a great many people.

When I am not doing that, I enjoy the customs, as most do, but unlike some I have basically two scales I enjoy, 1:18 naturally for the dios and stories, and 1:24 scale, which gives me the freedom to turn old Armies of Middle Earth Lord of the Rings figures, into personalities from Forgotten Realms, Morrowind, and even Dragonlance. Constantly enjoying the challenges that are sent my way.

Married to a lovely library assistant who is an artist as well, so that means absolutely no room at all in the one bedroom apartment.

All my children are near or over thirty, so that means that grandchildren range in age from 16 to newborn. Hitting the big 5-0 in a few weeks.

I am 44 years old and I live in Bradenton Florida, which is located on the west coast below Tampa, GO BUCS. I am married (24years) have 2 daughters 1 who is 23 and is a physical therapist she is married but no grand kids yet. My second daughter is 14 and a freshman in high school. For me I am a Lieutenant/Paramedic (hence the code-name) in an ALS fire rescue department and have been doing this for about 23 years. I started collecting Joes when they came out in 82 and have not stopped yet. I enjoy customizing Joe figures (mostly the original body style), camping and spending time with the family. I also collect military vehicles from other toy lines and place them into my Joe "world"

Dzirhan Mahadzir - Haven't posted much for a while these day, as work keeps me busy, fairly oldtimer in the online community as started with the Pit Mailing list back in 96 or so, I'll be 39 in August and I work as a freelance defence journalist and also as a defence consultant, with most of my writing work with Janes Defence Weekly as a country correspondant. I live in Malaysia which is a tropical country so difficult trying to do dios with snow vehicles but that hasn't stop me from getting several arctic hisses though :) . Basically collect any modern military 3 3/4 or 1/18 stuff amd any other 3 3/4 and 1/18 that'll work with my stuff.

Most of my figures survived do to being stored in a 50cal ammo box!! restarted in the 90s with the 12in figs and accessories from both hasbro and 21st Century sets. Restarted hardcore after the 1st boxed set came out a few years ago. I also collect Robotech, toy scooters and various anime/video game female charaters with guns..Something about girls with guns... Recently began work on making more accessories for the 25th figures. Been working so much this past year, havent had much time to look at the site, take any pics, or even work on my dios/playset. I have a now mostly adult son who's about to outgrow his GI Joes and let me re-inherit them (he's 19 for pete's sake! Hi everyone! I'm George, a Bangkok-based Filipino collector of G.I.Joe and other 1:18 military-themed stuff. I had my first G.I.Joe vehicle and action figure (HAL with Grand Slam) in 1984. Stopped collecting in 1988 when I entered college but resumed the hobby in 2005. Got into taking pictures of my collection beginning in 2007.

Collecting and taking pictures of the Joes is not only a hobby but part of the family activities; they help me bond with my 11-year-old son (himself drawn to G.I.Joe and movie-themed 1:18 stuff) who often acts as my "production assistant" whenever I shoot pics of the Joes outdoors; my wife helps me out--not only with her permission to buy these toys, hehe!--but also with finding useful materials I can use, like microwaveable plastic boxes, display cases, cheaper ziplock bags, etc.; my two daughters, on the other hand, help me tidy up the house after every "Joe and Cobra session". :)

Looking forward to learning more from you guys! :)

I'm 22 years of age in live in Indiana. I work as a coal miner to support my habit of collecting joes. I've been a lurker around here for a long time, but just recently got into the hobby of photo taking. I only get about one day off a week though, so it doesn't give me a lot of time to take pictures, so it makes it that much more enjoyable when I actually do get the camera out. Anyways glad to finally be a part of this site and hope to add some cool contributions.

He very hyper  and is always on the go none stop until he body just shuts down. My 4yr old jacob who we call jacob bear is a complete mammas boy. He is scared of just about everything but recently mainly salad fingers on youtube. They are both interested in joes a little and posing but are still quite young.I hope they get into joes more in time and because its a good healthy, fun hobby.
My soon to be little girl who has yet to be named is what seems to be a little firecracker already and is causing mommy all kinds of problems even before her arrival.
My bestfriend got me interested in joes just awhile ago and I have dedicated a lot of my time joe hunting, watching and observing his awesome work. Now that I'm on complete bed rest I have so much time to take some of the thoughts i have had and bring them to life when i can. It's great pleasure being on the site. Thnks :D

Sorry, I saw your post only now (haven't been visiting the forum for the past months).

Yeah, too bad about Zen and Central World.

The only G.I.Joes that made it here in Thailand are the ROC first wave figs and Alpha vehicles but that's it, no follow-up waves. No POCs either. You can still find some stocks (mostly Neo-Vipers, Destro, ec. and the Panther/Armadillo etc. in Siam Paragon's toy shop and in all branches of Central Malls.

If you are looking for 1:18 stuff, you might have better luck. Star Wars stuff, for one, are in abundance here. Marvel figs in 1:18 scale too.

Before it was burned down, the TRU in Central World had a lot of Hulk Humvees on sale at just 1,000 Baht each (roughly $30) and PTE Blackhawk and Raptor (each selling for 1,500 Baht). (I should have bought a Blackhawk at the time).

There is a hobby mall in Chinatown (Yaowarat) which offer 1:18 stuff (both loose and MOC). I went there only once almost two years ago. I saw some figures from the "Alien" films there (loose), like Ripley and the Marines. Some Bbi/Elite Force figures too.

I also saw a 25th Anniv cartoon Baroness and a Nemesis/Lt. Falcon comic pack (both MOCs); a bit overpriced though.

There are also toy shops at the top floor of MBK though they don't sell any G.I.Joe item in general. You might get lucky though and find a stray Joe or Cobra item.

Apart from these, I don't know any other shops selling G.I.Joe stuff. There is a small collectors community, though.

Hope this helps! :)

Hi, I have been a constant visitor to this wonderful site for some time and have been amazed by the quality, quantity and dedication of its members to GI Joe and toys in general.

I live in Honduras and have been seriously collecting for the past fifteen years, mostly Star Wars and recently GI Joe. There is a very dedicated but small community of collectors here but there are no dedicated toy stores, and most of the purchases come from the Internet.

I will upload some photos of my collections and some simple customs. Hopefully you will excuse the poor quality of the pictures, but photography is not my strong suit and my digital camera is an old Sony DSC-P31 with just 2MP. Maybe next year I will buy a better camera.

Greetings, My name is Jonah. Though I've been into GI Joe since the early eighties, I hadn't discovered JoeDios till just this week. For a while I spent a lot of time making custom figures, and spent a lot of time on joecustoms.com, but lost touch with the hobby the last few years. Just recently I have begun cataloguing my collection, which includes taking dio style pics, so finding this site is perfect timing for me.
My photo's are not nearly as cool as the ones I see on this site, everyone here does excellent work, but maybe I'll post a few for some pointers.

I have a wonderful wife, and the two most beautiful children in the world. And aside from collecting GI Joe's, I also collect Transformers and comic books. I have even delved into the realm of self publishing comics.

I look forward to honing my dio skills here. Thank you!

What's up everyone. I joined up a while back but finally have gotten to posting. I gotta' say, the diorama's here are amazing! I'm not much of a customizer but I love to make dio's. Someone from another place I frequent said I should make my way here and now I am. Hope you like them as much as I'm liking what I see here.

Well...I'm from Texas...just about sums it up, don't it?

Seriously, I am a high school science teacher in central Texas. I have a BS in Wildlife Biology from Texas A&M where I was a member of the Corps of Cadets. Believe it or not, I started out in the legal department of a major mobile phone company (one of the big ones) and I worked as a liason with law enforcement. When that job started to drift into some uncomfortable stuff I didn't want to do, I quit. Didn't want to subject my new bride to stuff she wanted nothing to do with. Let's just say it bordered on intelligence work. I could tell you what I did, but then I'd have to bore you to death.

When I don't teach, play with my son or coach six-man football in our little, tiny town, I hunt and fish. Right now, it's dove season. Did ya'll know reloading shells is stinkin' expensive? Used to be the way to go when I was a kid.

I have two children, one daughter, one son and the son is why I'm into GI Joe again. He's six, and he's an absolute GI Joe NUT. He saw Rise of Cobra and my life has never been the same since. My wonderful, beautiful, long suffering wife realizes she now has TWO action figure/comic book geeks living with her. She shakes her head and mumbles a lot. Hey, I don't interrupt her when she's doing her craft stuff.

I have been disappointed in the latest vehicles for GI Joe, so I'm doing a lot of customizing, and the main reason I'm here is for advice and tutelage to help me get the most out of my money for my son and I to play with stuff. We don't collect to look at, we have wars in the living room.

I just finished my first custom since 1988 and I've posted it here for critique and advice.

God's blessings,

I may have posted when I joined but I figured I'd jump on and introduce myself again.

I'm a high school science teacher. I also teach a class on making comics and cartoons and I run the action figure club where students learn how to customize.

I've been customizing since I was a kid but got back into it about 5 years ago.

My photo skills are good. My issue is time. I have very little time to take photos. I also lack room. I made a few sets over the years but storage is a pain. I'm working on a few dio sets for backgrounds in pics for my new site but it's going slow.

Well that's about all for me.

Hello Everybody. Well I only started doing this stuff at the begining of this year. Was a hobbyist as a kid, but once I found chicks, beer and sports I drifted until this past Christmas when I bought a present for a friends son. I've been searching through pegs ever since.

Joined the fighting 118th in early spring mainly because I never really followed GI Joe and felt a little intimidated. Nice small community over there like Major Blood said more into the scale than any one brand. Joes sort of has the best to offer so now that I'm a little more familiar with story line and characters I decided to take Tracker & Major Bloods advice to check you guys out.

I love customs and dio's. Have my own story in my head and try to mesh with GI Joe world. Still haveing trouble accepting Cobra blue and Red, but I'll get over it surely.

Thanks for all the kind comments and please feel free to tell me if something stinks. I have thick skin.

hi everyone.
im 33 and from sweden.
i work at one of swedens bigger internet service providers as second line support for the moment.
been browsing the site for a long time before i registered and started posting anything.

iver collected for about a year now maybe more im not sure.
im sort of a creative person i paint and draw and try almost everything i can think of to be creative.

i got into diorama building a while back and slipped into this site.
my stepparents threw my shit out on some fleamarket and while visiting this site i got this huge loss over the fact they sold my gi joe figures.

i held them dear to my heart so i figured i would buy it all back.
the idea was to combine diorama making with the figures.

its been slow and hard work..and finally after manny overpayed broken gijoes realised that its more logic to go for the 25th series so i can get them in better condition.
and i feel it was a wise choice no more disappointed broken rusten glued figures with hidden defects.

i have been creating bakgrounds and stuff for a dio story for almost a year.
its gonna be huge.
i dont post pics of it for im saving it for the story.
its really annoying.
started to write a story line but its not done yet.
i suck at taking pictures have a i learned in the process :))

the more i think of the story the more figures and stuff i need so i feel like im never really getting there in a way.

im trying to get into sculpting and later on casting stuff in plastics but it doesnt seem to be easy for me so the learning curve is high but time will tell.

gijoe collecting is kinda of a way to brighten up the grey boring everyday work eat sleep cycle for me.

its a lot todo before i can launch my dio so i will try to learn to post more often smaller pictures i need the practice with the camera.

i just wish to thank everyone on this site for sharing their knowledge and fantasy and creative inner child.

i think the world would be a alot more fun place if everyone did just that :)
thank you for your time.

I've been stalking this site for a few years now, with ideas floating in my head that I never took the time to bring to life. Well, my early new year's resolution for 2011 is to stop thinking about it and make it happen, so i finally joined, and will hopefully be making submissions regularly.
I'm also hoping to bring my dio story to life and put it up on my page.

Hi all,

Fled here signing in from Melbourne, Australia. 36 years old and still obsessed with toys, much to my wife's chagrin. My older daughter doesn't care, as long as she gets to play with Cover Girl and the Baroness.
I've been a longtime visitor here, drawing inspiration from all the great photos you guys have posted, and I finally decided to sign up yesterday.

I had 3 Joes growing up - Tunnel Rat and 2 Cobra troopers - which occupied every second of my childhood days. I liked Transformers too, but the toys were too expensive, so it was Joe all the way. I lost interest in them when I entered my teens, and my mother gave them away.

For the last 5 years I've been into 1/6 scale action figures, but my interest in 1/18 Joes was rekindled after the Rise of Cobra movie. I'm one of the few people who liked it - I bought the DVD and watch it once in a while.
Since then I've been building up my 1/18 collection and I've done a few customs which I hope to share with you soon.

The pickings are rather slim here in Australia - the few available figures are way overpriced, and the ones on sale are usually all gone before I get there. EvilBay has been my friend. :)

Hello everyone,
I have just recently joined though I have been a fan of all of your pictures for a while. I'm Tony, a 33 year old high school English teacher in Buffalo NY. I have been a Joe fan since childhood. In fact, I feel sad that kids today don't have the types of entertainment we 80's kids had. I always loved Joes because there were so many, and they were so much cheaper than just about anything else (K-Mart $2.97, Shipwreck was my first buy). My parents didn't have much cash, but Joes were in the budget. I never really had many vehicles or bases, just Joes. Really, what more do you need? Long story short, I was sickened to find that most of my Joes from my childhood were displaced. In the 90's, I had a nostalgic attack and I went through flea market mania to restore (pre ebay) my collection. I always said to myself as an adult with a salary that if they ever re released the Joe line, I would buy everything I saw. That's where we are. I am nuts about the 25th and ROC line. I have 2 sets of just about everything. 1 opened, 1 closed. Yes I have the vehicles too. I have always been unto modeling (HO trains) with scenery and mountains, but Joe dios have always been a passion. I try my hand with customs as well (Footloose, Dial tone, Cover Girl). I have a Joe diostory in the works. It's called "the search for Alpine" and the Joes are on it. Ironically that is my story too. He is the only figure I want and don't have.

Raven73 = Robert

Raven: from Norse legend of Odin had two ravens that flew all around the world observing everything. They would return at the end of the day and tell Odin what they observed. My quote is: I am the Raven and I observe all. 73 is my birthyear.

I've been here at JoeDios for a couple of years and just now introducing myself.

I am 37 (38 on June 10, 2011) and live in Tallassee, AL. I lived in Williamsburg, VA from December 1984 to December 2009. I had started a Joe collection around 1986 beginning with the Joe Battle Platform and Torpedo figure...that was an AWESOME Christmas! In middle school, I was bullied to give up all my Joe stuff. My parents asked where my Joe toys were and told them about the bullying. I got most of the stuff back, but some was busted, including most of a Snow Cat and a couple of parts on the Platform (my favorite Joe toy!) In the 90's I lost interest in Joes and TF's, but still kept a few Joe and TF toys tucked away. Got back into Joes with 2000-something GI Joe vs Cobra/Spy Toops. Beast Wars, then later Armada, got me back into Transformers. I've been building (IMO) an impressive Joe, TF, SW collection since. 2007, I got the idea to create comic stories with Reissue G1 TF's by superimposing toy pics over cartoon screen-caps. Then found JoeDios while searching texture graphics to use. JoeDios has been a godsend for me...many heartfelt thanks to the Moderators! The work that everyone is doing here is fantastic! The members are AWESOME! I don't have a single bad word for the site and the people here. I really like that everyone is more than willing to share ideas (thanks to Death for the ROC Jinx idea...she ROCKS!) with each other. I have always been artistic and creative, but never considered dioramas until I joined JoeDios.

---take a breath---

Currently, at some level of progress, I have about a dozen Joe/TF stories going at the same time (manic-depressive disorder will do that to ya... :D ). Some, I'm having trouble developing the story beyond a cool scene, but a few are fleshing out excellently. It's all the set and prop building that takes time. In the near future be on the look out for the following stories:

From The Ashes...Joe diostory, basicly a retelling of ROC as a continuation of 80's GI Joe.

Venom Troops...Joe diostory telling my version of the creation of Venomous Maximus and the V-Troops.

The Jade Cat...Joe diostory telling of Cobra Commander gaining ancient powers to TRY to destroy GI Joe.

Ironclad...FTA prequel, Joe/Ironman crossover diostory.

Ghosts Of The Past...FTA sequel...Duke has left GI Joe!? oh, no! More to come.

And if it's alright to post TF stories...

I'm a long-time lurker, long-time customizer. Most folks will recognize me from Joecustoms.com. I'm 38 years-old, husband and father of 2 boys (7 and 9). I work in retail which is a story in itself. I started customizing years ago starting out with Star Wars, then Joes, and many, many more. My youngest son has caught the custom bug from his old man, and I hope to show our combined works here.

Oh yeah, my name is Brad Odom.

CODE NAME: Jefehawk
FILE NAME: Jeff
PRIMARY SPECIALTIES: father of twin boys; sex assault/child abuse detective
SECONDARY SPECIALTIES:renewed Joe collector,Iowa football fan, whatever my boys do
BIRTHPLACE: Btown, Iowa

JEFEHAWK grew up playing with GI Joes till his mid-teens in Iowa until he put his collection in storage during his college age years to focus on school, sports, girls and finding a cop job.
After landing a career in law enforcement and having kids, JEFEHAWK had the idea of starting a collection of 25th anni Joes for his still infant children. That collection for his kids is now taking over the basement and the rumor is the collection seems more like it belongs to JEFEHAWK then his boys.

"I swear they are all for my boys.....I'm just not sure I will ever let them touch them."

My name is Enrique Fernandez aka "Python Six".

Born and raised in New York City, I'm 32 years old and a fan of G.I.Joe.
For 4 and a half years, I worked for Strike Force Protective Services, a subsideary of USI Services Group Inc. I left that job due to overwhelming office politicking and constant policy changes that took place without notification, and which I thought was inappropriate.

For the last year and a half, I've worked in Dairy and Pastry delivery, working late-night to early morning, delivering to more that 50+ clients up and down both the eastside and westside of Manhattan.

Yo Joe!

1) Be good to each other. You can agree, you can disagree, and you can agree to disagree but don't get personal about it. We're all friends here, and we're all fans so let's just leave it at that.

2) Swearing is not allowed in any post in the forums or when replying to pictures. This includes the description area of your picture(s). IF your picture and/or dio has swearing, fine. Please keep in mind that we wish this to be a PG/PG13 sort of site. If you have a ton of swearing in a dio, please try and post a warning as a courtesy.

3) Absolutely no sniping and personal attacks on any member. If there is a problem between board members, take it somewhere else.

4) Blatant trolling. I'll be blunt on this one-- I don't care if you post links to features/reviews/dios/etc at other sites. What I do care about are people who only pop up to promote their site and don't otherwise contribute to the community in any way. This is "trolling for traffic" and I think it's a pretty sleazy thing to do. If you want to post links to your own sites/customs/work/etc, that's great and I encourage it! However, just don't show up to promote yourself and then leave.

5) Enjoy yourself. It’s a place to share stories and images w/ people who have the same interest. It’s great that we have a place like this.

The "order of battle" for disciplinary action around here.

If anyone is found consistently and intentionally violating the spirit of the rules above, the following steps will be taken:

1) Written warning. Either via email or PM you'll be hearing from me with one of those "Cut the crap!" messages. Hopefully this will be enough-- otherwise we move to...

2) Banning. I've seen too many boards grow "out of control" because some people can't remember to respect others. I won't tolerate that here-- ever. Anyone who consistently decides that they can do whatever they want will have to do so elsewhere.

BTW…

If you feel the need to disrespect other board members, make blatant insults, etc, your posts are subject to a bit of an edit. However, you'll know the reasons for the edit and everyone will be able to see that the post has been altered.

By the by...

You want a 1-way ticket to getting banned w/ no warnings?

1. Steal pics from another site, post them here and say they are yours.

It's one thing to post your own stuff. It's another thing to post someone's stuff with their permission. (ie; hosting pics on your own account and posting it for the public) But taking a pic from another site and posting 'em, that's a no-no no matter where you're from.

2. Racism in any form.

and

comments on pics should ALWAYS be honest and polite...........if you find something that looks a bit 'off', a 'gentle' suggestion should be offered. Nothing like 'that pic sucks' or 'I hate that it's stupid' or along those lines.......

Don't sell yourself short on your own pics either! Let's be honest, YOU should know if a picture is 'decent'.......look at it this way, are you proud of what you did? Or are you doing it so you can say to your friends 'look what I crapped out and took a picture of!'? Time and patience will show through your pics all by themselves. And if you get frustrated, don't be afraid to ASK!

Now I don't expect everyone to be able to take the same level of pics, it depends on so many things....camera, speed, surroundings, theme and the most important part........each individual!! Again, it all boils down to each person taking pride in what they are doing..........I mean it is your name attached to each shot!

So, take time and have patience...and just follow your mother's advice 'be respectful'...everyone can benefit from something and you'll be churning out brillant work in no time!!!

And

Some of the newer folks might NOT remember this particular ruling, but the JD has a 3-picture posting limit.

Either space 'em out or if you are trying to tell a story, sometimes it's best to host the shots yourself and make a post in the forum. I am deleting random shots if you are over the 3-shots in a row limit. Please try and let others post too.

Geez, I can't believe I didn't post in this thread yet. Well, better late than never...
I'm Brad, 34 from Cranberry Township, PA (Go Steelers!!!!!) USAF Veteran 16 years, prior Aircraft Mechanic now Mental Health Technician. For Civilian work, I work tech support for a Cell Phone Company. Married, no kids yet, but since the wife graduated college and got a job, we are now talking about looking for a house and moving. This will enable me to set up the Joe Room, and hopefully set up a dio- taking area. Have been collecting since 84, took a break from 90-93, collected a little in 94, and got back in in 97 and haven't stopped. In 97, I also started customizing and have done more than 1000 customs. I hope for a Joe room where I can set up my customs for viewing and eventual pic taking

Hi, I'm Mike, from Tennessee. I live in Lebanon, just outside of Nashville. I have been re-collecting since my 13 year old son was about 1 or 2, and we both collect together. We collect mostly Joes, but we are into most everything 1:18th scale. I am currently working on my EMT-IV, and hope to be on an ambulance soon. Really enjoy the group and am thankful for an outlet to display some of my ideas.

Greetings. Nice site you have here. I have been checking it for out for a couple of months. I figured I'd take a moment to express my appreciation. I was way into G.I. Joe as a kid (this was back in the 80,s). I lost interest the first time I heard Serpentor yell, "Cobra! La La La La La!" (I took G.I. Joe rather seriously and that was just to much to bear. not to mention after that G.I. Joe took an unrealistic turn as far as the toys went). I Got back into it because of the Resolute movie (Snake Eyes is a bad dude in that) and the Pursuit of Cobra figures. Anyhow, someone mentioned this site on an another forum and I have been digging it ever since. The really nice thing is that there are no crazy banner ads flashing at me and taking forever to load, which makes me think this site is privately funded, which is a nice thing for someone to do, because this is a really cool site, lots of talented artists doing something for fun and I think that's just fine.

Sincerely,

Hello, Range Viper here. Born in 1979, live in Oregon and am a warehouse grunt. Sort of had a family farm untill a couple of months ago with my mom and sisters a big part of which I had a small morgan horse breeding program. Sombody altered our land contract and we lost it all. I'm a certified equine massage specialist though I'm not using at the moment. Been a huge joe fan all of my life and have a collection as well as alot of guys just waiting for action. I have three sister 12 to 18 years younger than me and I have made them 80's kids as well. They all have their own joes and collections and huge fans too. You can hardly go anywhere in the house without a joe lurking somewhere! I got my digital camera back in 2004 and the joes have been photo stars since. We all take alot of pictures of our joes though we are very novice and are terribly out classed here. We have been issuing joe photo chalanges to eachother as long as we have had the camera and I have been running my own joe story since 2005. I didn't realize other people did the joe dios thing untill recently. I need to learn how to do them right and publish them on the internet. This site looks like a perfect fit for me ! I lost my camera in the move so I'm kind of stuck untill I can get a new one. Maybe I'll post some of my old ones. I work alot of thirteen hour days so my picture taking is sparatic but I hope to participate as time alllows.

Hey everyone my name is David Pruitt and I grew up in the groovy 60's and 70's. My first Joe was the Air adventurer which I got Christmas morning 1972. My two brothers and I cleaned up that year. I got the mobile support unit and my brothers got the training center and helicopter along with the pigmy gorilla and white tiger sets. It was one of my favorite Christmas times.

Of course I grew up and became a design engineer which has evolved from pencil drawings to 3-D modeling, FEA Analysis, mold flow, etc. Which is a fun and creative job.

I got married to my wonderful wife and had three sons. This is when I got back into joes with my oldest son in the 90's. I collected alot of 80's stuff which was bought at yard sales and flea markets dirt cheap. My boys enjoyed me building outdoor trianing camps and forts for them to play joes. Their favorite was a homemade zip line that ran about 20' across the yard to a safety zone. All of this was sold off after they outgrew them.

Then the 25th anniversary joes landed and it took me back to when my fourth brother was a child, he was 15 years younger and grew up in the 80's. His first joes arrived the Christmas of 82 and he scored big that year including the cardboard missile command set. This retro release got me hooked on collecting the 25th series which continues on through today. I enjoy kit bashing, customizing, and taking photo shots.
I picked all this up surfing the Joe message boards. My favorite 3 3/4 release is hands down the Adventure Team. You get the best of two worlds with them. You get the bearded retro 70's joes small enough to utilize all the popular 1/18 scale vehicles, playsets, and accessories.

Never grow up!
David

long time lurker. first time member

Im a 32 yrs old Married Filipino Electrical Engineer living in Australia. Been collecting mostly G.I. Joes (and a few odd Transformers every now and then) since grade school but stop collecting when my mom gave away half of my joes to my cousins. I disposed of the remaining joes and went to comic books till i graduated. My second foray is in 2004.It was the height of JvC / VvV era and my first purchase is an MOC Alley Viper pre 1990 for $4 and a Shipwreck vs Overkill Spytroops. It peaked my curiosity but not enough to sustain it. Then in 2009 i "accidentally" bought a 25th anniv snow job because of that fancy new trend called the internet and it showed me that the Joe landscape has drastically changed, and 300+ figures later I havent stop buying ever since. Because of this i blame Neapolitan Joe (for his awesome collection, God i envy you :)), Monte (of JBL / Hiss Tank for his awesome outdoor pics), Justin (GeneralsJoes) and Alexx (JBL) (for their reviews and cool posings) for reducing me to a giddy gradeschooler when im in a mall looking to expand my collection. i lost a lot of money because of you guys :)

Stalker
08-17-2012, 09:40 AM
My name is Rob. I am a long-time "Stalker" on this site, and other Joe forums.

I took Lonzo's name because he's my favorite Joe, the heart of the Marvel continuity, and nobody else wanted to be called (a) Stalker. He was also my first Joe along with straight-arm SnakeEyes, Scarlett and Flash.

I gave all my toys away around 1993, frustrated by the changes in the line. There were a lot of things (characters / vehicles) I wanted to add to my collection that I had missed out on in previous years, but rather than rerelease them, Hasbro always seemed to Neonize them, Pythonize them or Tigerize them. (Or Mauraderize).

I got back in at the end of 2005 when I found out about the comic packs and finally could get my original 13 Joes with red collars. Also the TRU trooper six-pack (the first thing I got when I got back into collecting) was awesome and is probably still the best O-ring army builder of all time (give or take some issues like glued torsos).

GeneralsJoes, ViolentFix, Outrider and others inspired me to do dio-stories and photos. My efforts never lived up to my vision, but I am finally getting to the point where I am taking the pictures I want to take and I hope to revive my "Dio-verse" where it left off.

I have a website for these stories (cobracy.com -- an anagram of my name). I recently put my first and second comics back up. Take a look if you haven't seen them. I try to make them replete with "Easter Eggs." I hope to get more stories up by the end of the year.

Make mine G.I. Joe!!!

I thought I had posted on this thing but I guess not  My name is Jon I go by Figureware I have collected Joes on and off since the ARAH kick off! I am married, no kids, semi retired = bored= going back to school! Ever since I saw the making of Back to the Future I have wanted my own set so in my house I have a Joe room which has a complete Springfield town! It also has several shelves with different dio's as well as a backlot for temporary dio comic sets. I love GI Joe and also collect any 1/18 and 3 3/4 figures that will work with my Joeverse! I also have over a hundred 1/18 cars nearly 300 1/18 motorcycles and over 30 treehouse kids trucks! as for figures Ive lost count! The room has departments (boxes) of interchangeable props and set pieces. To all Welcome to Joedios! I love this site and I know you will too! look forward to seeing your stuff! :D

[QUOTE=Stalker]My name is Rob.

Hello to one and all,

I am Ben aka HeelJoe and a fresh faced newbee. I am a Physical Education teacher to 11-16 year old children in the UK. I am Welsh and proud but reside in England with my lil lady who recently became my wife. I am a bonefide big kid and collecting toys has become a passion over the last few years. The majority of my GI Joe collection from when I was little kid has been lost and/or broken in numerous house moves. I am a now able to collect as many as I like with my specialities being wwe and of course GI Joe. With random other toys entering the fray like Star Wars for Whacky Wednesday and other silly dios. I'm really enjoying creating dios right now and drawing inspiration from others work - special mentions to the folks on here! Currently having a bash at story board dios and improving my photo/computer skills. Umm,... that's all I think, unless anyone has some questions for me as I've missed something out or questions need answering for this welcome thread.

Nice one.

Hey all. Let me start by saying I dig Joedios. I was really excited when I stumbled across it. It mixes two things I really enjoy photography and joes. I live in Arkansas and I am a Director of Photography for a film and video post house. I have a beautiful little girl and a lovely wife of 14 years now.

I'm loving all the great pics you guys are posting! Keep 'em coming.

Hello, recently joined after i discovered, much to my own amazement, the wonderfull world of Gi Joe. In later thread i will tell more about my interest in this hobby but now a bit about myself.

I was born and raised and have lived all my life here in Holland. Lovely little place and i would not change it for the world. Presently living in a tiny house, single and out of work for more then two years. Not that i have been sitting around doing nothing. On the contrary, i have been more busy then when i was working. Go figure!

Visualising my fantasy and making them come to life has been with me since childhood and after a period of not doing anything with it, it's back. In force. And that is also the reason for venturing into the world of the Joes. Not so much for collecting as well for, finally after many years, having found the perfect vehicle to play out all of those stories that, like videoclips, are running in my head.

Of course there's lots more to tell. So questions are cordially invited and will be answered in a likewise manner. Take care, be well. Recon14

WOW! This place is awesome! So much talent and creativity here! I love creating stories and dioramas, and I'm hoping to learn and grow from all the experience on this site. I have a little work with stories/dios but this is my first real go round with GIJOE's. I grew up watching Joes but was more of a star wars/wrestling kid. With my interest in the movie, so to has my interest peaked in doing a joeuniverse. SO a new endeavor from me, but I've been really inspired by the work on here. Any tips, advice on filming, stories, setups, etc will be greatly appreciated. Thanks for having me :)

Yup, I'm another new guy. I go by Zoids Fanatic (if you've seen the name before, yes it's the same one).

Anyhow, I've been on-and-off with G.I. Joes for the past few years, but after seeing the recent movie (and being with my family, many of who are Joe fans) I decided to get back into them. Of course, last time I bought G.I. Joes was in the 2002, so you can understand my surprise about how advanced they had become since my days as a Joe's fan. Though sadly I missed out on many years of great figures :(

I found this site not to long ago while browsing Hisstank.com. Since my re-introduction to the Joes, I have fallen for Joe Dioramas (being a Zoids fan, which I still am, we don't get those often). So to find a site filled to the brim with Dios, stories, and fans of both.

So, to sum it up, I think I'm going to like it here.

Hey there, all!
I'm Andrew, sophomore in high school. Residing in Georgia. Been lurking the site for a few years and finally started posting stuff recently.
I'm the youngest of five (have three brothers and a sister). It's because of my brothers that I'm into all types of nerdom. My parents were missionaries for a while, I was born in West Africa, and my family has always been a constant and they definitely have had an influence on me-hobby wise, especially. I love superheroes, cartoons, movies, comic books and action figures. Joes have always been my favorite toy line.
I like to make stories, getting better about writing them down nowadays, and my toys have always served as a springboard and an easy way to play out said stories.
I've already seen the wonderfully kind folks here on JoeDios, made me comfortable enough to give a bit of my story-as opposed to other sites.
