Save Outrider (the Challenge!!!)

Listen up gang. We've all read Outrider's latest post on his health condition. Several us gathered on MSN (including the boss of the site) and we propose a special challenged dedicated to the one and only OUTRIDER!

[SIZE=4]The mission : SAVE OUTRIDER!!![/SIZE]

Parameters :

-Shoot a dio. Shoot a 1-shot. Write a story. Whatever you can do!

-Post your stuff ASAP.

-IF you shoot a dio, you MIGHT want to post it in the forums section. Please host your own shots (ala Photobucket.com, Flickr, etc... That's so the fotos section doesn't get flooded.)

-While we don't actually know WHO Outrider's fave figure is to represent him, we feel that Crosshair is the best representation (tho he has no mustache). We also surmise that DTC Major Bludd is a fave but we feel Outrider should be a good guy.

might i suggest too, that in the following few weeks, we mainly do remakes of his work on thursdays. since im sure most of us have wanted to try and redo his work anyway.[/COLOR]

Crosshair needs a mustache to be Outrider? Why can't Outrider be bad? He seems to favor Bludd to me.

this sounds like a great project for the community to get in on. I'd like to do a story to dedicate to outrider, however i dont have a crosshair figure.. I do have a 1988 Wild Card figure I could use.

I was thinking for those that wanted to participate maybe as long as Outrider is classed as the hero, we could use a best selective representation for him.

this way it doesnt rule out anyone wanting to take part that doesn't have crosshair. :)

I'm down for that idea. the bulk of my collection is 25th, so no crosshair. Although Craig hates the NFO, we love Craig and would like to participate even if we are o-ring challenged. I am pulling for you sir, you are one of the best here and we want to keep it that way.

ah, that makes sense then... I have never seen a pic or anything of Outrider (Craig, right?) so I didn't know he sported a mustache. I will be glad to custom any of my figures for any member, especially in contribution to them:D

I'm going to use Wildcard for my dio, I dont have a Cross Hair (although I do plan to do) so if i do get him before my dio begins I will definately switch it out for him :D

1. Has a moustache
2. Good guy
3. He is AUSSIE
4. And has cool accesories
5. I wish I have one.

The reason we chose Crosshair is because we know Craig counts him among his top faves. Those of us that have been here for several years knows that Craig tends to shoot pics of both Crosshair and Major Bludd the most. So the boss and a few others thought Crosshair would represent him best (over dork like Bazooka or Zap, JUST because he has a mustache doesn't mean Craig prefers the figure! lol).

I simply wrote the battleplan up.

I completely understand, and I have both Crosshair & Major Bludd, but I figured I would do something different for him, so I "made" an Outrider.

Vader, that is AMAZING! Did you happen to take a shot of the scene from way back, so we can see how it was set up? Where's that tree from? Is theat fake snow or a really fuzzy blanket? Awesome shot.

I make the trees myself, the snow is Woodland Scenics snow powder, it is for model RRs. I did not take a far off shot, but I did do a how-to a while back on building trees & setting up shots like this HERE (http://www.joedios.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2833)

Sweet. thanks! I have some dehydrated fake snow. Haven't tried it yet. :) REALLY want to do some snow dios. Repainted a Toxo-HISS white just for the occasion.
