What figures do you have a tough time putting into your pics?

I was lookin' for some figures to take pictures of today, and I wanted to use figures that I wouldn't normally use; though I knew that what I really wanted to do was take a picture of Roadblock shootin' at BATs.

I obviously have a few favorites, and Roadblock's one of 'em. What I think it boils down to is that some characters are SO specialized, it's tough to come up with a scenario for them without buildin' a diorama.

Here are some I have a hard time fitting into pics (non-25th, repaints and secondary versions excluded):

Spirit - Somehow, I don't see him doing much tracking on my drawing table. Besides, he is uuugly
Ace - I don't have a plane. Besides, he looks more like he should be flyin' a shuttle
Shipwreck - Unless I put him in a sink, the only way I can see him workin' is in a bar... hmmm
Barbecue - The apartment complex may frown on my startin' a fire
Torpedo - Same as Shippy, which sucks, 'cuz he's a really cool figure
Snow Job - I only have one of him. If I had multiples, I could build a team, and then use the man
Flash - I could never get his laser to work in his backpack, so he ticks me off.
Grand Slam - Flash repaint, making him guilty by association :)
Wild Weasel - Like Ace... though that'll be remedied soon enough (I can't wait to try some in-flight shots)
Copperhead - No Water Moccasin, no Moray, no desire to put my figs in the sink
Red Star - Without the Oktober Guard, he seems pretty useless (and yet, I bought him anyway)
Zartan - The current one bores me. I'll wait for the new one comin' out
The Dreadnoks - They need Harleys, grape soda, and a bar setting
Grunt - He's just kinda' there. He'll be good for some O13 shots, but that's about it

And last but not least... and this is a shocker: Firefly

I love the figures, and the character rocks. I don't know what the problem is. It's like, if I want to take a pic of him, I want it to be on some HUGE scale that I'm not sure I could pull off. And, if I could, it'd take forever. Oy.

Aaanyway, do you guys have figures you have a tough time working into photos?

Aircraft pilots and ninjas. Oh, I can't forget about the Alley Vipers. It is hard to me to build a urban enviroment for a shot.

I find it hard to use the Baroness especially and the specialty guys, like Torpedo, Copperhead, and Snow Job. Red Star is another one. Maybe I'll get around to him eventually.

Flash - sci-fi is the laser guy, never knew or liked flash.

scarlett - never liked her so i wouldnt use her except to dis her
snake eyes - i hate the godlike thing, but im trying to ignor it all and find the love i once had for him before i read the comics.
falcon - i have flint, why do i need him?
dart - i have flint

Recently joes, but seriously I always have a hard time using 82-84 non cobra's as they just look so skinny next to the later figures. Psyche Out, the renegades, sgt. slaughter, I'm sure there is others but I can't remember

Snake Eyes - I'm with Lesreh on this one. Plus I'm not a huge ninja fan, but this may change soon.

Depth Charge - specialty fig, nuff said.

Sea Slugs - these guys and my Sea Ray haven't seen any use......yet!

Storm Shadow - see Snake Eyes

Kamakura - see Snake Eyes

My Drivers - Clutch, Crankcase, Heavy Metal

Deepsix V1.....the ONLY place he would look at home is in an aquarium! Or a starship...I can't decide!

Sand Vipers... Since I left the desert, getting shots of these guys is more and more difficult!

SwampRats....If a desert is difficult to fake, a swamp is darn near impossible.

Snow serpents/Snowjob/IceBerg et all: Hard to make convincing snow in 70 degree weather!

Exactly..!!
How can you effectively shoot pictures of neon dressed soldiers and take them seriously?
Repaints and dios are needed to make them look respectable.
Aside from the usual flaws on the figures I've always found it difficult to photograph the following:

Cobra Raptor :rolleyes:

Firefly i'd usually have 2 or 3 different versions and use his expertise to wipe out a small compound of some kind. :)

Any figure in the 85-94, or new sculpt (2002-2005) styles

I have trouble justifing using the highest ranked cobras, I just dont think they should show up that often.
