AWE Striker repaint, meh. I do like the CLAW and FANG though, I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on the Battle Pack coming later with the MOBAT, Crimson HISS, and CC Flight Pod.

Tan AWE striker = meh. Although we have not seen one in desert colors so I guess it's ok.

Fang and claw = awesome, can't wait.

Good god that Claw is useless. Airbrakes? no landing gear? plus the backpack peg must've been modified so that's a definate pass. The FANG looks wicked though, too bad it's stuck with the dud that is the CLAW, why couldn't have been a SNAKE armor instead

I called "suckage" on the CLAW when it was first shown. Sure, the original was a fragile item, but this new one looks like a stamped out backpack with motorcycle handlebars on it. Cheap. So cheap that it can be packed in with the Best Of DVD pack.

So there's one real vehicle there, the FANG. Too bad it wasn't packed with a flight pod.

The figures are a mess. Red viper with grey details and a black helmet piloting a fang? Ugly. Air Trooper with a red helmet for no real reason. (no extra helme to turn him into a regular trooper this time). I see lots of these on Ebay already.


AWE in desert colors...looks okay, but not keen on shelling out $15 for that. Leatherneck with Buzzer's shoulder armor and Gung-Ho's head? Pathetic.

I like the idea of a desert tan awestriker. The gung-ho frankenjoe is TRYING to mimic the Laetherneck V2 that came in the Special Missions Brazil pack. It's ok...I MIGHT actually get that. how do these vehicles set with ARAH joes?

Got to agree, the CLAW is CRap! But I'm diggin the Fang. Always was may favorite cobra chopper.

Well, bad news is the FANG has a peg for the new style figures, as does the CLAW, I think. Good news is, they are thin pegs...easier to remove.

bad news is, without a back peg...the CLAW is useless.

Maybe they should have use the weird plastic clamps from the later days of ARAH vehicles. That would have accomodated either style, as it just flexes around the figures lower torso to hold them in place.

I personally never liked those back in the day, but they could be useful in holding figures in place in some applications.

Could these vehicles be delivered cheaper without the figures? I remember vehicles without figures a long time ago being at least $3 to $5 cheaper...

But then again, mixing poor in with good sells well for them...

by "f" I Mean Fix It. Just Cut The Peg Off The "crappy" Claw And Or Fangs. Then Get An Old Back Pack And Do The Same Thing. Use A Sharp Exacto Knife And Try To Keep It Falt. If Not Sand It Down A Bit To Level It Off Super Glue It On And Bingo Rah Peg On 25th Vehicles ;)

You make a couple of very good points there Yorky! I wish the vehicles were available without the figures. Every time I buy a vehicle now, I'm forced to pay for a cr@ppy 25th figure I will never use.
And isn't it typical Hasbro to throw in a junk figure or vehicle in just about every two pack? They know some of their rubbish would never sell if people didn't have to buy it to get the good figure/vehicle in the pack. Remember the mid 80's when you would walk in to any store and all that would be left on the shelf would be peg warmers like Dress Blues Gung Ho and Zarana?

If international shipping weren't so expensive, I'd gladly ask you to send them to me!! I still haven't found the 25th Flight Pod vs. RAM pack, and meanwhile, you're posting pictures of Hawk and Cobra Commander assassinating the 25th Tele-Viper (which is the main reason I want that set)!

(And though I didn't post a comment at the time, I did like the pic-- Even though I disagree with the underlying message...)

I have no problem with things like that-- If we couldn't all have a little fun around here, it would be a pretty boring place to hang out. We all have our own preferences, and I'm more than happy to respect everyone's!

I can't wait to grab up a couple of Fangs,and i'll get the Awe Striker to.I like the Tan color it will fit right in my Desert Squad,and it will go with the Dersert Hummers I have.And as far as the big Target Pack all I want is the Vehicles,the Figures I could care less about.I guess i'm going to start selling or Trading all the 25th Figures i've got with all my new Vehicles.And Self-Modifier i've passed up about 7 or 8 of the Trouble Bubble-Ram 2 Packs,I could grab 1 for you let me know..

Actually, the very day after I complained here about not being able to find it, I found it! That's like the third time that's happened to me, too! Maybe it's a sign to start complaining more.

However, if you find yourself with the AWE Striker and Conquest, and don't want Leatherneck or Slipstream, I would be more than happy to send a few dollars your way (I'd take the Short-Fuze from the big Target set, too)! I have no need for more of those vehicles, but I really want the figs! Let me know if that's do-able, because I'd love to work something out!

I'm after the GI JOE figures myself. Not so much the goofy colored figures that come with the Cobra vehicles. I LIKE the CLAW myself. I enjoyed the thing. A powered glider?!? Dope!

I had the FANG back when and I didn't like it. I wanted a REAL Cobra heli, something more in vein and coolness like the Dragonfly. And as for the desert Awe Striker, I dunno. I just hope that Hasbro releases a 'traditional' colored Leatherneck be it single-pack or whatever. I already did a custom of Short Fuze so I don't need him. I haven't seen Slipstream but I'd take a 25A Slippy. Maybe not the Conquest cuz I got one of the re-issues and hated it.

The Rattler on the other hand, I'll hit that!
