Was not at all pleased with the convention figures that were released. All it was is just repainted crap!! This is what pisses me off about hasbro. They puke out the same old crap that never selled to begin with with different colors. Could the Eco Warriors be at the 2009 convention. Scuse me while I barf!!!!!!!!

Agreed. Most of the molds have not been used by hasbro since 1993. It was a bold move by the club to give us something like the headhunters. While most people don't like the concept, I think we can agree the figures are good. I know I'm slightly biased since I'm a headhunter fan, but give me a break. It's way better than the 25th style repaints hasbro keeps pumping out.

I'm not a fan of the Headhunters at all. I think I own one, and it was by accident.

But those BATS rock.

I think the set is cool!!!! Specially the BAT's and Hot-Wire. The swat team is fine too.

you Got To Give It A Chance Bro If You Never Had Them And Wanted Them This Is A Great Way To Get A Good Quick Army Build In. The Colors Are'nt That Bad, And New Molds Are Most Likely Never Going To Be In The Con Set Period! They Will Always Be Repaints Imo.

Well, All Mastercollector has to work with is whatever Molds hasbro hasn't lost. I think all in all what they put together this year was pretty nice. I have wanted a Headhunter Stormtrooper for YEARS, but I'm not gonna pay $40.00 each to Army build them.

Let's look at past offerings;

2002 = Crimson Strike team AWESOME!
2003 = Operation Anaconda Eh?!? Crap IMHO (And the only set I DON'T have!)
2004 = Escapades in The Everglades (Dreadnok set) Ok, not great, but OK!
2005 = Mars Atacks AWESOME!!
2006 = Mercenaries Awesome (Minus the Chrome Avenger, Cobra Mortal!)!
2007 = Tanks for the Memories Should be called Tanks, but no Tanks!) Loved the Female doc, Sparks and the night Stalkers, but not enough Army builders! And I have way too many original 13 members.

2008 = Headhunters! About time. I missed a lot of the few good figures they had in 1992-1995!

At Least MC/ the GI Joe Club has an excuse. They are not a very profitable organization. They have to survive on the scraps Hasbro gives them...and I think all in all, they have done pretty good (Except the 2003 set! BLEECH!) Hasbro on the other hand should be ashamed of the crap they put out wave after wave. How many 25th Versions of Duke, Snake eyes, Storm Shadow and Cobra Commander are there already...and we're only up to what? Wave 8? That's inexcusable!

I had those figures with the original paint when they came out in 1993-94 I took all my 90's joes and destroyed them . Wasn't a fan then; nor now. I personally feel, D.E.F , Eco warriors, Star Brigade and Mega marines were the reasons the line stopped selling and Hasbro shut the line down.

ninja force should be first and foremost in this list. i also agree that i thought they sucked big time(but i wouldnt get them anyway as they cost to much for me). i have however liked the past sets. this year the colors were awful, and people talk about sci-fi... but destroying anything when you know without a doubt that some kid who has a hard time getting this stuff is just plain wrong and something i cannot agree with. actually, its pretty heartless. why did you buy them if you hated them so? and why didnt you give them to a salvation army or something?

but i guess i can look on the bright side... i thought i would be the most hated person on here because i have some beef with hama, next to you im probably a saint.

The reason I destroyed them was that they with the bright yellows, reds purples and such did not; at least to me look like a counter terrorism unit. It was crass and I'm not richard simmons and think of rainbows but was pissed about what I purchased. I like 1982 -1988. That's jest me. I was just pissed period. I didn't care for the vehicles. I got the x-16 and painted certain parts that were orange because I wanted realistic military figures and vehicles. it's a matter of taste. I liked Dusty I over Dusty 2, I liked Big Ben, big bear and Red star and that was it. Just a matter of what you like. If u like the 90's stuff, that's cool . I'm talking me personally. :cool:

Where are we? At kinden garden? You are fighting alone in this one man. Everyone has his problems, but this can work as excuses to call for fights, please listen to Agent Viper and just left this thing behind.

Geez, calling a fight over the internet where most people are over 18 and suposed to be mature... to come to this is to lose what was left from anything.

Let's grew up and come back to topic. Many of us liked, at least in some part, the 2008 con set. You didn't rds, so we have our choices. Please let just don't start all the Blowtorch thing again here. No one intended a fight other than you. Just look to things with friend's eyes.

I think Rambo and rds need to take their conversation off the boards, and could probably both use a time out.

I've said it before and I will say it again: This year's set rocked :D :cool: ! It was not perfect, but it gave us stuff Hasbro won't give us. Gristle was a worthy update, the guards were great, the stormtroopers coluld have been better, but they are cool, and the BATs were also great. For me it was a dream come true. Now if I can just get a SWAT set :( .
