Great job on filling the slots so quick everyone!!
I've ammended it to show that 'guiltridden' and not 'Urban Saboteur' is the final spot filler........considering the agreed upon set for this month.

I don't know anything about Target Range, Weekend Warriors or other things like that on JoeDios. Is there a guide or something I can read?

They sometimes have description put up with the initial post, but apparently not for a while.
Weekend Warriors is simplest to explain. Basically, a theme is given -- be it a basic scenario or, more often, just a title -- and it's up to members to interpret that in photo-form however they wish. It's an interesting way to see how the same basic starting point can spark different people's creativity in different ways. Participating pictures are posted Fri-Mon (hence the name) and are titled "Weekend Warriors: [that weekend's theme-title]"
Target Range is a monthly project where members snag a day (Tues or Thurs) and when their turn comes, they post up 2 shots each spotlighting a certain figure, one good guy and one bad guy. Pictures are titled (and tagged) "Target Range," with the character and version/year of release if appropriate. When the shots are posted, members post their thoughts on the character, the figure, the specifics of that VERSION of the character, etc. It's less about the poster's photo (although criticisms or compliments are always welcome) and more about the subject. Part of the reason for including "Target Range" in the title and tags is so it's easier to search and see if anyone's already done that particular figure -- there have been so many made, there's plenty who've never been done yet! And the "Target Range" name basically means the figure is the target and we all get to fire out our opinions on it (quite possibly blasting it to pieces if it's someone like Ice Cream Soldier...)!

Way to go Stormer, :D

See, this is why the place is cool. The upper mgmt doesn't have to come in to answer all the questions! It's nice when the LORDS OF THE JOEDIOS can sit back and let things unfold. Shoot, if GS really hates us that much, I'm sure someone else could run with the Target Range. *shrug*

Cheers, m'Lord. Actually, I tend to think of myself as a Duke of JoeDios.
And not just because of the pun. :P

This would be one of those types of posts that needs to be stickied permanently. Leave the monthly sign-ups as they are but a general thread that explains Weekend Warriors, Target Range, etc so folks don't have to step in and answer the same question over and over again. Might make it a little more new-user friendly as well. Just a thought.

I'd be happy for what I wrote to be copied'n'pasted on all new TR & WW threads.
And if Pru really has left us and Sonn's not in a hurry to do it, I'd be happy to run them unless anyone else was particularly keen.
The TR (once I figured out wat it was all about myself!) and Weekend Warriors (then Theme Week) were what got me to stop lurking and sign up properly to the site, so I'm definitely inclined to make sure they keep running.

MS...
When I ran the TR, I always explained each month what the deal was. Sure, I did stop when we weren't getting new blood. IF GS doesn't do June, then I guess Stormer can pick up the ball.
Just remember, in theory, the color PURPLE is only for me!!! FOR ME!!! lol

Yeah, that would be very useful for me.
And thanks Stormer.
I know I need to sign up for a continuing storyline but do I have to sign up for the others or can I just submit something?
Stormer

Target Range requires advance sign-up since there's only so many Tuesdays & Thursdays in a month and it's best to just have one person post at a time so their figure choices get maximum attention (plus it puts off the point where we'd be repeating subjects).
Weekend Warriors, however, is open to all. Just post according to the weekend's theme between the Friday and Monday (just helps keep things a bit more orderly and strengthens the sense of the unified theme) whether it's one tie-in shot or you end up with a bunch of ideas. If you go back and look at my pics (it's been so long, I suck...!) you'll see that for the most part I've contributed to the Weekend Warriors themes and Target Range -- I found the themes to be helpful in generating ideas and giving me more impetus to get out and do things regularly (which I'll be looking to get back to shortly).
There's nothing to stop you posting other stuff over the weekend, and likewise you can always develop ideas you had for a weekend into further pictures -- my only (so far) mini dio-story came about because of what a Weekend Warriors project got me thinking of and it made me want to take the same guys back out to do more with them.
As for the ongoing storyline project, I'm not sure what the status is there but it's definitely separate from the regular Weekend Warriors 4-day themes. We seem to have stalled a bit already; it might be better to pick the contributor from whoever expresses interest on a week-by-week basis, so there may be some people who get a turn more often if they regularly volunteer but it'd at least keep the project going and would hopefully attract more interest as it got better established. That was General Scarlett's baby though and I'll leave it with her, although I do like the idea enough that if it looks like it's going to die I'll try for a last-minute save.

General Scarlett told me yesterday on MSN she wouldn't be coming back :(
There wasn't a mention of her coming back to help out on that particular project either, I think either Prince Adam or Sithviper are scheduled to post something up.
I started the story, and i hope that the others who volunteered will take this on and do something with it. I actually don't have any Figures or vehicles I could use to make the story now, I hope G.S returns and helps complete the project she started.
If not it might be worth mentioning this to Sonneilon and taking over the mantel for it.

Well that sucks.
OK, I find the idea of a "pass-the-parcel" story too intriguing to not at least give it a good attempt. Like I said about TR and the regular WW, unless anybody else is particularly eager to take on the project I'll be happy to commandeer it rather than just let it disappear into the ether.

My thoughts exactly, that's one reason why I was so pleased to be a part of it, everyone gets a shot at telling the story, and of course more practice in to take pictures of joes! :D
