Awesome pics, GH, you're really making me jealous! Do you know, in my whole life, I've never really seen snow? The closest I've come to it was when I was a kid and we went for a family holiday to the Australian Alps, which is the only area in Australia which gets snow, and there were a few very small patches of snow around that melted by lunch time. :( Eh, maybe one day.....

I used the snow blower to remove 3 inches of snow before I came to work today. It has continued snowing all day, but the temp rose, so it wasn't "sticking." now the temp is dropping and it is getting slippery again. But we live in Green Bay, land of non-stop Packers coverage... The temperature for kickoff on Sunday is supposed to be -2 (F) with -10 to -15 wind chills, and the players are talking about short sleeves.
Glad to see some snow in Georgia! They did have flurries in Baghdad this week, so there is still hope Craig!
Yay for "Global Cooling!" ;)

My wife and I have some good friends in West Allis whom we met on our first trip to the States way back in 1990, and they're always telling me about getting "snowed in", etc. :)

One might hate the snow cuz it's irritating, but things DO look wonderful when covered. It's maddening when the ice sticks around for weeks at end and the city won't sand YOUR street, yah???

Nope. Green Bay, Wisconsin…

I live on a through street/bus route. They ALWAYS plow our street. And they use salt here. Yuck. Promotes rust, destroys cars and shoes, but melts the snow great. I wish they would use sand…
But I love looking at the snow on the trees on the way to work. I pass the Green Bay Botanical Garden on the way to work, and seeing all those trees clad in new fallen snow…wow!
