joe/cobra loved by all?

[COLOR=Red]ive been thinking about everyones favorite joe or cobra. i honestly say snake eyes would be the winner if it were just which character was the fave of the most fans. what im thinking is which character, although not the fave, is loved by the most people? this is not snake eyes because a lot of people, like myself hate him also. same for duke. ive came up with 4, cobra commander, destro, zartan and hawk. as far as i know nobody hates these guys. at least none that i have ever herd say anything bad about them. so here it is, vote on the character you think has the most love or at least unhated from the most people.[/COLOR]

O.K. lehsreh I gotta go with old CC!!! :) When your talking Cobra he's the First Guy I think of !!! :) I always Loved the Cartoon Version of him & the Voice that the late Chris Latta created, Thank you Mr. Latta!!!!!!! :D

I actually hate zartan with a passion. I always have. I'm really not sure the roots of my hate, but it stems out to touch all the dreds. I don't know why. I hope I don;t get stoned for this as pretty much everyone here loves zartan, but I really hate him. And the cartoon ruined c.c. for me too. He was so whiny that it carried over into my toys and I would just throw him in the closet, i just couldn't picture him as great. destro is ok i guess. but the way his metal mouth moved in the cartoon was just so fake that it turned me off from him for a long time. I'm starting to like him again, but then i get that image in my head of his metal head animated like leather and it seems silly. so i guess Hawk, i got now rants for him. hehe :rolleyes:

I went with Cobra Commander. It's hard to picture GI Joe without COBRA, and hard to picture them without their leader. Besides, I think he's always been evil, while Destro and Zartan seemed to switch sides from time to time (especially the last 60 issues of the Marvel comic).

I went with Destro. He was not diminished into the utter silliness of the ninja digression in the Marvel comics, though his silent castle housed many a battle and his past intertwined with some of them. He was evil, but fair. Consistent and honorable. If he was going to shoot you, it would be in the middle of the battlefield, not in the back...what more do you want from an enemy?!

CC is a mix. I like him as an evil adversary, but he quit in the comics for a while, shot some people in the back, lied to Destro and his own troops, and would kill people just for disagreeing with him. And then he was a puzzle on the cartoon...brilliant enough to come up with a plan to rule the world, but cowardly to run as soon as the tide turned. So I like CC, don't hate him, but more he's just kinda there.

Zartan. Loved the toy, but all weirdness in the cartoon and the comic was a bit much. I did enjoy his bickering with Destro. Like, but not love.

Hawk. Competant, tough, hero, but we never really got to know him too deeply. Maybe the DD version of him got into his mind a little more (which I have little to no knowledge of), but Marvel and the cartoon focused a lot more on Duke. I like him, but not as much as Destro.

I prefer him as the tough,scheming leader from Hama's comic,but the 'toon version is very entertaining too! :)

The real answer is Roadblock.

But I chose Cobra Commander. Destro I'm never sure about. He's in theory too smart to hang around Cobra. But on his own, he loses that interaction with other Cobra agents. I don't want him as a good guy, either. He might respect the joes, but his interests almost always run counter to theirs.

Zartan is overrated. The more ninja-connected he got, the worse he became. Dreadnoks dumped for red ninjas? Giving up evil?

Hawk...for nostalgia, I like him, but honestly his role can be filled by anyone, actually. And probably someone more interesting. Character wise, Hawk is often too much the ideal boss/leader. In early comics he had an edge, maybe dark side hinted at. later on, he was Captain America uncostumed.

hey Lehsreh, Zartan Is'nt Really Hated But To People Like You And Me He Is Super Cool. Not Hated But Not The Most Liked. Then Theres The Cult Following He Has By Guys Like Me :d
