Ok gang, you have a new assignment.
The owner of the toy store where I manage has placed me in charge of picking out action figures he thinks we should carry. Mostly, we need MAJOR named stuff we know will sell in what is generally an "educational" toy store. I'm coming to you, my fellow figure freaks for ideas. Just post em on this thread, or PM me. Right now, I've been looking over DC Direct stuff, and sticking with just Superman, Batman, etc, the big named fellows. Is there a new line coming out I should keep an eye out for? Any imput will be appreciated.
A few things to keep in mind
1) This is pretty much a kid's store, mostly educational toys, but the owner wants to expand out. We need iconic names that Mom will know and pick up for little Jimmy. Mom doesn't care about the Red Tornado with 3 variant heads, cause Mom has no idea who Red Tornado is and why he has three heads.
2) Kids store, again, so I need to keep the figs PG at the most. I really wanted to get in some of the Sin City stuff and MacFarlane, but those push the boundaries. Mom doesn't want to come in and see a Nancy Figure half nekkid (thought I'm sure the collector out there sure does)
3) It had to sell to the general market. Obscure lines might be cool for a comic book or specialty store, but we're trying to sell to Mom for little Timmy.

Thanks gang!

Shane

"G.I. Joe"

And you could always have him go the 'Baby Einstein' route, or even 'Leap Frog'

Great educational AND mainline stuff!!

Transformers is always the way to go.

Happy Well's products might be a good idea, the Roadbots are awesome, and cost a mere fraction of what Transformers cost. Plus, the 1/18 ones are perfect scale for Joes. :p

The most memorable ones would be Batman, Super-Man and Spider-Man.
All have movies made about them and all have a glowing fanbase.

It's an interesting thread, one of the best for quite a while and it will help someone out.
