Hi everyone! This time,we'll get your opinion on the best Cobra/Iron Grenadier/Foreign/Etc. Trooper.Just pick one,and tell us why he's your favorite!

For me-it's very simple:the 1986 VIPER! I love the concept,the sculpting,the weapon, the backpack,and the Filecard.

He looks like a tough,no-nonsense soldier,with just a bit of the futuristic in his mirror-front helmet and his awesome Assault Rifle/Grenade Launcher combo.

His uniform looks tough,like Kevlar armor-and in groups,the Viper is a deadly foe for GI Joe! :p

Heh heh, I'm going to be difficult here, and say almost ALL of 'em! That's why I'll never be wealthy...all my spare cash is blown on Cobra army builders!! ;)

Mold or character design?

Design: I like the basic Cobra trooper, simple, not overdone like too many of Cobra/enemy troops, there was believable quality to their uniform

Mold: Viper V1 overall, retained a military feel while being more advanced.

Honorable mentions to
Rock Viper v2 (the big problem is every troop wearing ammo belt to what looks like a heavy machine gun)

Lamprey V1

Alley Viper 2002 wave 1.5, those Duke v1 legs are the downside. The mask is stil a bit corny, too.

BAT V1, they never topped it as far as I'm concerned.

Snow Serpent V1, again...got it right the first time.

Cobra Officer, for same reason as Cobra Trooper.

[COLOR=Red]mmm, 86 viper are great, but id have to say their tied with night viper in 3rd. b.a.ts are a very, very close 2nd. but my fave would have to be the crimson guards. forget about how in the comics and toys their supposed to be the top notch troops and personal bodyguards. i have always thought them to be the best because 1, i liked the red outfits. 2, in the cartoons they were awesome, they were the only ones who could ever outdo the joes. in a few of the toons they outfought the joes and made some great escapes. if i could only build one army, it would be them. but then again if your building them for dios, then i would have to go with 86 vipers or b.a.ts. they are the ones you would use on the front lines, i dont think well ever see 20 CG's doing a charge on the joes.[/COLOR]

I have to go with the Original Cobra Officer!!! :D I remember seeing them on the cartoon & comic book, I always loved the uniform & when you see it you know it's Cobra!!!:D I'd have a 100 of them if I could afford it!!!:)

I'm going to have to concur with Outrider. I don't really have a favorite they're all cool.

For me it's a toss up between the Original Viper and the Snow Viper........

From The Point Off No Bsing Around The Crimson Gaurds Have To Be The Toughest But Over All Cool Factor Is The Night Vipers Then The 86 Vipers For The Awsome Mold Alone And For Cannon Foddor Cobra Troops......sorry

Just plain old Cobra Troopers for me. I can't describe it, but there's something very cool about the simplicity of that uniform.

Comic pack troopers, i love the red masks & yellow straps for some odd reason :confused:
Blue Shock Vipers would be a very very close second.

I love CGs, but they are elite so there shouldnt be a ton of them going around :cool:

Just love that sculpt (minus the huge monocle).

It's funny-I think the Night Viper monocle looks cool.....but really,it's ancient 1st Generation NVG design......too bad we didn't get the DTC Night Viper. :mad:
