self modifier kind of hit the nail on my general additude about the comic, it had some good moments and then some not so good. Actually it is so inconsistant I have a hard time believeing the same guy wrote it all the way through. I know he did, but I have a hard time beiliveing it.

My favorite stretch is probably around 30-50 with some odds and ends here and there.

Some of the major stories like Cobra Civil War are not as great as I remembered them, the plots are pretty good, but the dialouge is horrid (Serpantor and cobra commander; "Better a has been than a never was." I kid you not)

I think sometimes the comic gets a bit glossed over cause people look at it with rose colored glasses maybe. At the time we had it and the sunbow cartoon and that was all. Still its much better than the DD run.
