After a while of thinking - they should go. Or they should be modified that there's a less risk of abuse.

I've never been a victim of such situation, but I noticed that it is far too easy to give 1 for nothing. Or 5 for nothing - though this not happens
You know - if there will be some other system, then why not keep them, but as I doubt there is - throw them away. Something that is not working well - should not be here. People put much heart in what they do and some for example 10 years old can sign in and start a flood of 1's...

Anyway - we already give our opinions in post under the shots - so a star rating is only a cosmetic thing
