Weekend Warriors: June and July
 

And Weekend Warriors at JD continues. Here are the themes I've decided upon for June:

June 3rd - 5th: Men of the Sea
Naval type figures or any figure placed in a wet setting.

June 10th - 12th:Off Time
What do the guys do when on the rare occasion they get the day off? Did Doc and Ripcord hit up some famous bars, or did the Flak Viper squad get completely wasted?

June 17th - 19th: Persisting Problems
I thought I'd go for an extremely vague topic. Let it be from the slacker among the Cobra troops to the Joe's latest computer problems.

June24th - 26th: Vehicle Drivers
Spotlight that cool figure you like who came with a vehicle.

July 1st - 3rd: "It came from outer space"
Suggested by Tycondrius, perhaps an unknown creature, or a Joe back home, space is full of mysteries.

July 8th - 10th: Pure Evil
The worst of the worst in the absolute worst ways. Think of bad guys who scare the other bad guy at night.

July 15th - 17th: Relationships
Suggested by Shipwrecked85. It could romance, like with Flint and Lady Jaye, or more negative one like with Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow.

July 22nd - 25th: War Crimes
Suggested by Troopsofdoom. Cobra are the bad guys for a reason, let's see why. Or maybe the Joes have crossed the line?

And as a friendly reminder to everyone new or old, make sure you comment on most of everyone's elses pics. If they talk to you, it's only fair you talk back to them.

The first one will be tricky for me unless this weather starts calming down. Or else I'll have to rig something at home - wait just got an idea! lol.

Off time should be fun! Especially for those of us with lots of small dio items (I'm looking forward to this one).

Persisting Problems - also fun, it's so open ended

Vehicle Drivers... Hmmm That kind of excludes pilots. Darn it. There's not many to chose from in 25th/poc/roc form for me.

All in all a good selection of weekends. Looking forward to it :)

Vehicles Drivers are definitely the unsung heroes (and villains) of the the Joe world.

Kinda wish I had a Bazooka for June 17th theme.

I just thought of another suggestion. "Terror from the Deep!!" its fairly open to interpretation so it may be interesting to see what people come up with

How about "The Little Guys", all about the lesser characters who never ever get top billing? Like the janitor or something?

I like this one. TCM just had a barrage of radioactive sea monster movies! I liked "The Terror from 20,000 Fathoms." LoL.
