According to a news report I watched the other day, this is like the second hottest summer in recorded history. It really sucks because all I want to do on my one day off in the week is go outside and take some pictures, but I can't because it's so miserably hot outside =( Anyway was just curious if anyone else was feeling the same effects as me here in the midwest. A cooldown period would be pretty nice but forecasts say otherwise. In the meantime I just continue to admire all the photos posted here until I can contribute something again, whenever it may be.

We are also feeling the heat here in MO. But my love of Joes is stronger. Lol. I mostly take my pics in the morning when it is cooler.... :D

I hear ya man. I live in Phoenix and haven't really had the motovation to get out there in the 100+ temps to take pictures.

I so wish I could get out in the morning to take pics, but working straight second shifts prohibits me from that luxury.

And the triple digit heat really de-motivates from going outside and doing anything. Guess there is always this fall haha...

There's a difference between a desert heat of 100+ and midwestern 100+. I've lived through both. When the dew point is higher than it is at the equator, your pants are crock pots to twist a Robin Williams phrase from Good Morning Vietnam.

I think we all should get a little worried, since this very hot summers and other climate changes are due to global warming. Did anyone heard about the big iceberg that left greenland?

Pretty Hot in GA. Of course every august is like that is GA. 90's would not be so bad if not for this humidity.

I just got me a Captain America and Bucky set of figures that I want to pose outside with the 1/18th scale WWII tanks and dudes. It is supposed to be better tommarow and was great today except it rained up until I had to leave for work and then stopped the rest of the day.

Well according to the weatherman, here in Chicago it hasn't been overly hot. 1988 was hotter apparently.
Although yeah the humidity is really bad. Way too many mosquitoes because of it.

Its blazen hot here in North Carolina!!! No outside pics for me. Fireants, fleas, ticks, mosquitos and sweaty balls. A out door pic is just not worth it. LMAO

Sorry -- here in the San Francisco Bay Area, we're enjoying the coolest recorded summer in 40 years. It's pretty great!

I haven't really noticed the heat. I am reminded of the old saying "dog days of summer". http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dog_Days

The heat is the main reason why haven't done any outside shots in a while. Way too humid.

It finally cooled off a little bit here in Indiana to snap a few photos, but I had to wait til the sun started to go down so my time in the field was a little limited.
