My wife bought some rather large foam core panels to make some kid-sized doors for a set for my son's play. She needs to get some strong glue to join them together. I remember someone on JoeDios recommending a glue that kind of melts the foamcore (or was it styrofoam?) together. Any recommendations?

The best thing for foam core is hot glue, from a hot glue gun.

Liquid Nails, It's strong and completely styro and foamcore friendly! also it drys fairly quickly and is not cost much more than your avarage super glue! :)

I use Tacky Glue myself. Comes in a gold bottle... Used it for a lot of Warhammer 40k sets...
