Or should I save some in case Joe returns?

I sent away for 15 stormies...lol... not all for me, just 2 for me, the rest are for Canadians/Argintinians/Brits and one lonely Aussie :)
after all that, I still have about 1000

Theres a guy on the Joe Sightings board that uses dyes to make customs. I've seen him do some crazy stuff with reds. I could you make yourself a small (New Sculpt) Red ninja army.

I don't know about saving them. Even if Joe does return I'm sure you'll get more rather quickly.

Well, what would you do with 48 Stormshadows, besides sell them?

So, I compromised and got 30.

Do you have a link to that dye trick? I've heard it described, but I wouldn't mind just paying the guuy to do it for me. :)

NotPicard used the dye trick in this (http://www.joecustoms.com/board/viewtopic.php?t=24261) post at Joecustoms - don't know if it's the same person at Joesightings.

I'll see if I can find out who the guy is.

Here's the link to a thread I started about this. Thorn is the guy that uses dyes and he supplied a link to his site so you can check them out.

WOW... that's pretty cool... I may have to try it... it might be easier to do multiple figuresa t once like custom army builders... but to be honest... half the fun(and not to mention stress release) to me is the painting :)

I'm just trying to imagine how great it would be to have customs where the paint wouldn't chip or rub or break with too much play and this seems like a possible answer.

I am that guy on joesightings that does dye work. I stumbled on this board while reading violentfix dio. If you have any dye question I can answer em. If you want to see the customs i have done visit my webpage at: thornprime@tripod.com Most of the customs on that page are done with dye. The dye doesnt chip or flake which is great. :D

I think you mean http://thornprime.tripod.com
I checked it out and your work is AWESOME! I really like the look of the dyed customs. I need to be able to pose my customs a lot and paint chipping is always an issue.
