Re: Your Loving Son, Chris
Thanks for sending this to me; I loved it! I was surprised with how it turned out, but I really enjoyed it. It had a nice, "Full Metal Jacket" feel to it, too. Great pics and sets. While, at first, I thought the scenes in the swamp were too dark, after reading a second time, I like it like it is. Gives you that murky, "what's gonna happen" kind of feel and that fits in really well with the story. So, kudos on that! I wanna see more, though, so keep on making dios!

Shoot! I've sent out 11 copies of it...last dio I only had like 7 requests. I think anyone who's gonna read it has already read it!
I mean If you comment on it I don't think it will spoil the story for those who haven't read it!!

Re: Your Loving Son, Chris
Frank threw some gas onto the fire of the idea I had, many brainstorming sessions and a week of vacation later, we had this. He was a big help and great for bouncing ideas off of. This is just the start of something big folks.

Re: Your Loving Son, Chris
The main differences between Viper training camps and Blueshirts made the dios stand out a lot. I like Riddick and the viper trainer.
I think that the ending was a great start for what will come. The shoot out is easily my favorite part, because it was dark, a little confusing, and worked into the story. Cool
Seeing more of these characters will be fun and I hope you guys get to it

A little background on the Swamp scenes. I wanted to light them like Violentfix's cobra island scenes( I Love his work!) where Wreckage and Tunnelrat are fighting with the vipers (and in his current story, laying low). I wanted to show the Joes in the fight, even had a team picked out and standing by my "Studio" where I shoot my Dios, but in the end, I decided to not show them. I tried to let it have a "Fog of War" effect to it. I wanted it dark and murky and chaos reigning. I wanted to try to take the reader to the back of the formation and feel the battle, the surprise the fear and chaos.
If you've ever been in a firefight or seen one on a documentary, you NEVER see the enemy! Guess the camera guy gets scared and Ducks, I don't know, but I wanted this to have that feel. Like you're there, or like you're watching an embedded reporter film it. I'm a big fan of Steven Spielberg's "Saving Private Ryan" , especially the intro when they jump off on Omaha beach and all hell is breaking loose! Did you feel that in the swamp scenes? If you felt something close, I did my job!

Good work on both stories. Nice to see team work and cameraderie bring it all together!
